I waited for this race a long time and couldn't do anything, had my drivers set on high push too and couldn't control it. They probably didn't do well because of that.

Situation is still ongoing. It's Microsoft Azure (our new cloud host) they are having issues with their Western Europe datacentres (where we are located). I am very disappointed at the length and timing of this. It was offline for almost 2.5 hours in peak times, very disappointing.

We are already brainstorming ways we can have "backup" services within the cloud if one goes down. It's not something we expected to need, but apparently we will. The situation was and still is entirely out of our control. It's entirely the responsibility of Microsoft Azure, the stuff that stopped working.

@Jack : "It's Microsoft"

I stopped there, no need to read more to understand from where is coming the problem ^^
Otherwise can you check our race please ? It was expected just after the crash and is still blocked. Thanks.

Microsoft? that explains it. Something blue screen'd there and here we are...

Jack can you tell me when the race is going to be approximately? in few hours or tomorrow? Also can you get back to the other topic I made and give that one token back that i lost in bit space. Thanks.

The race will be in the next slot in the calendar, all races will move back along the calendar as they are set.

No problem, it was a nightmare for us as much as you. I was sitting for 2.5hrs basically waiting for Azure to say "it's back" so I could rush in and get everything back to normal. Not the most relaxing way to spend the afternoon. :D

There's never a dull moment in this job.

The races are already postponed and reset, so you should see the correct calendar now. I got that sorted out about 10 minutes ago.

I still do. I try to load the race and I am getting Connecting to server, negotiating, Error retry in 5 seconds, and the same again and again.

Our league had a race going when downtime happened, about 37 laps done of 57 and cars just froze. When the site came back online (yes, I kept refreshing the whole time), the race seemed to continue from about where it was when it froze (lap 40 of 57) and seemed to finish ok. I got the car upgrade points, sponsorship money and drivers were tired from racing but no championship points were awarded and the race seems to be scheduled for Sunday?

If it was postponed to the next slot then it was likely reset in a bulk operation we ran just after things came back online to move any races impacted by this to the next slot.

Obviously it wouldn't be fair in the case of your league for anyone not attending to find out they missed the last 20 laps or so, so this is standard procedure if we encounter situations like this.

Sorry to those who had issues 1 hour ago, it appears there were still some ongoing problems as a result of the outage earlier. I've postponed those races that weren't running to the next slot.
