I gave the update a few days and enough play time before making my conclusions.
Let's start with commendations. I know I'm usually very critical of the game but this is perhaps the most successful update in recent times.
Push Level Revamp: Noticeable changed behavior on the track. Can defend/attack/overtake more easily with just PL. PL3 as hold position still doesn't work for me and feel it's still more PL1, but maybe that's just me.
Overtaking Revamp: Perhaps my most loved feature of the update. This is so much better now. A faster car can literally just slice through a slower one or use a tap of the boost to get by.
Dirty Air: Still feels low in comparison to how good it was but it's better than what we've had recently.
Now my thoughts/suggestions:
1. How about making engine tuning dynamic as opposed to static? A very good deal on the business front as managers will be able to make you use of tuning points just going to waste. This also helps customers that already feel hard done by the bug fix.
2. Pit Times - I feel the time variance of a fully trained pit crew vs a base trained one should be a bit higher, anything 0.5s - 1.5s wouldn't be too much as opposed to 0.1 - 0.5 variance we are currently experiencing. Maybe it's just me, but for me anything 'max' in gaming terminalogy usually includes and comes with a noticeable/clear advantage.
3. Harder Limits on Tyre Cliff: Perhaps enforce harder effects of tyre cliffs to aid even more overtaking as well as open up more strategic variations for us. It's winter and we are basically still using the same strategies as Summer. The pit crews should also earn their pay haha.
Rounding up, a solid update all around and very well done to the testers, devs and everyone involved ?.
