Old forgotten account

I think I made a mess (sorry for that). I had been playing the games a couple of years ago. Now I decided to give it a go once again. I logged in with my facebook account and a new account has been created. Now I have remembered my old account and team name (Maltese Knights). However I don't remember the password and when requesting for a new password I'm not managing to do so. Could it be that both the old and the new accounts are now on the same email address? Obviously I'd prefer to get again that old account if possible. Kindly advise what can I do. Thank a lot.

Try to recover your password again, I've improved the way the page works and addressed a couple of possible errors. It will also tell you if there is a problem and what the problem is. E.g. multiple accounts on the same email address, you correctly identified that is one potential error that would stop it from showing up.

Yes that is the problem. "Multiple accounts are using the same email address. This must be corrected to recover the account." Both my old account and the new one (logged in through facebook) used the same email address; and cannot recover a password for my old one. Would you be able to close the new one?

I think you will be able to connect Facebook to the older account if you go to the settings page when logged in and click Facebook connect. I know it's much easier to login using Facebook.

Yes please close this one. When I had connected through Facebook it had created this new account; it didn't connect to that older account.

It's deleted now, and I linked Facebook to your old account. If you try logging in with Facebook now it should use the older account.

Jack I'm really appreciating your help since I know you'd be overloaded with work. I have just tried to log in with facebook again; and it created a new account once again .. it seems you managed to close the account we mentioned but it didn't connect to the old account. Feel free to work on it when it's convenient for you if you have more urgent matters. Also, if there's something that I should do, kindly advise. Thanks again.

Strange. Deleted the new account. You can recover the password for the old account and log in the normal way. Then to integrate facebook try going to settings and clicking it. Even if it has any more problems then, you'll know the password to the old account and can work around it.

I'll look in to the causes behind this soon to avoid others having problems.
