Hey!
Can you get the ideal setup if you do your setup runs few days before the race? For example I make my setups on Tuesday and the race is in Friday (both in dry) will the setup be as good as it would if I'd do the runs on Friday? Or is it recommended to do the runs in the same day as the race is?

Thanks!

The ideal setup will account for the weather at the time of purchase and not when the qualifying lock is applied.

you should do your test runs at the same conditions. A few days earlier has a risk that the weather can change dramatically.

It should be noted however that if you buy the ideal setup with tokens and then the weather changes the setup will change to suit the weather.
I bought an ideal setup a few days ago and tested on a dry track. The next day, the day of the race, it was raining and the purchased setup had changed for the driver for whom I had bought the ideal setup but it had not changed for the other driver for whom I had only copied from the other driver.

Sorry Hijacking! First thing came across to do with setups.

The current setup levels are a bit out of tune compared to how they where in the later stages of open beta.
Every setup I have had so far is between 1-20 like it was at the beginning of open beta.
Is this because of better drivers?

it isnt because of better drivers. I have similar results with my low level account.

It changes with the weather too, so if it rains a different set of values will show up.

Unfortunately I have never setup for raining to know if it's above 20, the races I had rain my setup was done in dry conditions.

i've ended up setting up earlier in the day because i know i can't be around later in the day, when go back and check some things after the race it turns out i had the wrong setup because it's raining. i even setup at the last moment of one race and won it earlier in the month because it was raining, it caught all the other teams out.

i have setup for wet races though, the values can end up above 20-30 without much trouble. just remember that when there is a lot of water on the track, the height of the car needs to be made taller in order so the car isn't swimming in water and higher wing levels are always a requirement anyway because where there is rain there is a lack of ability to turn in such conditions as the tyre can't grip of water between the tyre and tarmac.

That's my next task compare low talent with high talent. I haven't started racing yet, I'm still in test mode gathering information.

Yeah i under understood why tracks like Monaco and Singapore don't automatically have higher wing and height settings even in the dry, tracks like these have no use for speed, it's all geared towards the best grip a car can produce. Those tracks and others, there should be variation. some knowledge of these tracks should include where a setup should be, not always in the 5 to 15 range.
