Shortlist contract

Just a question about a shortlisted driver I have. I’m thinking of signing her to be a reserve driver and maybe putting her in a car for the last race as a tryout. But when I go into the contract part of her bio it’s locked. She hasn’t been signed by another team so I would like to get info why this happened. Did my chance to sign her passed. It’s been a few weeks since I shortlisted her.

My understanding of this is that iGP doesn't allow you to sign drivers outside of an auction unless that driver has once been in your team. I quote the changelog dated 07 July 2021: "Free-agent Drivers and staff can no longer be bought outside of an Auction. The exception to the rule is if a driver or staff member has ever been in your team before, then you may re-sign them. The capability to sign any free agent was being abused via browser scripts that scan all possible URLs, hoarding the best drivers and staff, with the aim of preventing other managers from accessing them. Such antics are no longer possible. We will also be looking in to improvements to the transfers system to offer more ways to access a wider range of drivers and staff" Hope this helps explain.
