Hello,
I have moved this thread to the Help and Support subforum as it is not a bug.
I don't think the Support Team will be able to put the driver back in your team due to it being manager error, however, at the time of writing, the driver is still without a team so you should be able to purchase them and return them to your team.
Apolgies that I couldn't be of further assistance.
EDIT: Since posting this, I have been informed by two different other forum moderators that the driver level is higher than your manager level (I hadn't noticed this).
Unfortunately, this means you will be unable to repurchase the driver until you progress to Level 28 - however, I still think it is unlikely the Support Team will be willing to intervene due to this being a result of manager error.

Ok, I have, even so, I would like to thank you for your attention and take the opportunity to suggest a solution in this case: that the manager has the possibility of redeeming his driver within 24 hours, in exchange for a high fine in tolkes of 50 to 100 .
