When you get the ideal setup you jot it down in notepad and then have to input it every time, instead, how about having it be able to save that setup for that track and the ride and wing level can change as they do as the drivers train as per normal, plus fluctuation for weather and temp where you find it in practice and token of course still give ideal setup and change as the weather does. Thoughts?

Once again, feels like dumbing down the game. Again it’s just adding a feature so you don’t have to press buttons to get perfect setup

How is not having to do something repetitively and for no actual realistic reason 'dumbing the game down' ?

I mean, next you may ask for a perfect push level button cause it’s not realistic to shout every time in team radio and it’s repetitive.

Replacing management decisions with a button in a management game, that to me is dumbing it down

"I mean, next you may ask for a perfect push level button cause it’s not realistic to shout every time in team radio and it’s repetitive."

How is that even relevant? It doesn't even makes sense.

It could just be the dry setup where you can do practice runs as alteration for inters and wet, variables for driver stat changes.. you can use tokens and do it anyway. I mean it's obvious that if you're online and in the car set up page that you can just click for the setup you saved in notepad instead of manually doing it each time.

Why bother having a way to save logins when you can jot it in a notepad and have to type the whole lot in every time. Best i get hold of all the coders out there and tell them they just dumbed down the internet.

Let me put this to you from a business perspective chris.

(Note I’m not saying this is the reason, I am solely providing food for thought).

Perfect setups cost tokens. Tokens equal income. You are asking for a feature which is likely to reduce the use of the perfect setup item.

You can reduce your own reliance on this sort of thing by taking notes yourself but I’m not sure it would be in the developers interest to produce features which impact their own income.

You dial the setup down from 50, why is it on 50? You dial it down to a number you have already saved in notepad. Why not just export what you have in notepad, into the setup? You are achieving the exact same thing. As i said, you can still use tokens, you can have it exported as a dry setup meaning you have to manually change it for inters or wets. I never said anything about a perfect setup.

50 is the midpoint of the setup range, that is why it is 50.

Most tracks are below 50 but the adjustment in elite for extreme weather (thunderbolt icon) is +50/+50 to both wings and ride height. It's a shame the condition is so rarely seen really.

Setups do not change for temperature. Only Ride Height, Driving abilities and weather conditions (Dry, Light Rain, Rain, Heavy Rain) affect the setup.

So making it easier to import a saved setup makes it much easier to arrive at a good setup.

For somebody who is already writing it down manually. There's little difference. It's the people who don't make that effort it affects. It's easier to hit save in game. This in turn leads to it being easier to find your setup, reducing reliance on perfect setup. You may not have said anything about it, but that doesn't mean your proposal doesn't impact how players interact with it.

It seems that part of your frustration is the amount of time taken to reduce the setup down from 50?

What if a better way of interacting with the setup was provided, such as directly inputting the wing and ride height settings rather than using the + / -, or a slider bar you could drag to change the figure quickly. Would that be an improvement in your eyes?

You overestimate the vast amount of managers - most rarely train their drivers, upgrade staff when their level goes up, actually log on for Live races (yes I’m guilty of that when rl interferes) so noting down perfect set ups is not high on their priorities so SledgeHammer is right it’s a dumbing down that’s not needed and reduces the edge that those that do have.   Craig also gives a very logical and rational reason why this won’t happen.

Actually inputting the value rather than using the +/- is a good idea, but if you have to look at the notepad to see what it is then just export the setup from the notepad and hit save. It's not relevant to anyone who hasn't saved it and it would be a sight quicker in general but especially for those with multiple accounts.

DD: It's not relevant to training, if they train where the ride height changes, which it does, then once the setup is input then a practice run will reflect the change, then save it to notepad and export it next time. I don't see how making something more efficient is dumbing something down. Most people that have mentioned it, mostly rookies, have had a plethora of answers saying there's a notepad and to note it down and save it.

Read your original suggestion, it read to me as dumbing down on game options. Oh and don’t let an account age fool you my friend

Edit: think I see where you want to go now. Multiple accounts, get them all onto perfect setup effortlessly and get them a trainer so all their drivers train up effortlessly. Which would be more efficient. For farming

That sort of thing would only work once a driver hits level 29/30.  It would also depend if your car were exactly the same for that race, every time.

In my opinon, this idea is not worth it.

No no query what is being said, don't tell someone what is being said. don't be that douchebag. I have 1 other account which is a few months on, my main account is from 2017, i have no others and have no interest in others. I actually suggested some time ago about cloning the 1 account. They've already been dealing with farming accounts unless you lived under a rock.

It's straight up as Kevin pointed out, being able to load a setup and the Doctor is pointless and the current training method is simply a chore.

I'll make the suggestion to have the Headquarters facets upgradable by being on line and hitting a button repeatedly, so it's not done automatically.. just so you don't feel like the game is dumbed down. (fyi, it's not the game)

And I haven’t been living under a rock I just stated your solution would make farming easier. I’m not interested in the amount of accounts you may or may not have, opening a door to farming isn’t in the game’s interest
