What did you try to do?
When I review or click cars or add up design points after race

What happened instead?
The points are less than they are supposed to be like.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Both

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
App

What is the model of your device?
iPhone 12 mini

What is the operating system?
iOS

What is the version number of the operating system?
17.4.1 and the phone is operating on the latest iOS

Can the bug be reproduced?
Yes it can be easily reproduced. I think this started happening when I purchased an engine from another team.

Additional comments:
It keeps happening and now I’m not sure how my car will be performing in the race.

Are you sure it’s no just the changing research focus of the engine of your supplier?  Once the race is over as well as adding the DP pts earnt in the race, the totals will change depending how the engine is set for the next race

After a few seconds or minutes it will change back again to the correct design points, is that normal?

I have the same thing, but I don't think it's a bug, it's more like a lag. When I upgrade the car and exit this menu, the design points from the engine are reset, but when I go back in, everything is back to normal.

I have attached screenshots, I’m not sure how I can upload videos here.

@ Sergiy: ohh that makes sense mate , thanks, that’s what’s happening so we can say it’s a lag ?

If you are using a custom engine this happens after you assign your design points. When you save your changes and return to the design overview screen you will find that the two design characteristics that the custom engine modifies will display the core values (in other words, the number of dp without the positive and negative engine modifiers).

If you refresh the page (browser) or move away from the design overview screen and return to it (mobile App) the attributes will now show the correct values.

The bug has existed since the Engine Manufacturer update was launched. If you know it exists it is not a huge problem but can be a little confusing when you first begin to use custom engines.

Thank you for taking the time to report the bug. Not only will it put it back on the Dev's radar, it also brings it to the attention of managers who are unaware of this issue.
