Last season the Elite League team standings ended in a tie. But the team with more wins is in second place. What is the reason for this? In a real race, in case of a tie, the team with the higher number of wins should come out on top.

Correct.
The system used in iGP for tie breaks is the first person to achieve the best result in the season. Rather than the countback system that formula 1 uses.
