I have found at least four different leagues that will not list using the league select tool. All found here on the league forum and sitting with no one joining. Tool failure seems to be triggered by fewer than three days per week leagues although one is an everyday league.

These leagues are. Violet Meadow, The GP4 Grand Touring Series, Anti-Nowhere League, The Virtual Racing Federation.

if your gonna have a good community based game then you need the community to be able to use it.
if they cant find any leagues how can they play.

The serach tool is missing key features as outline in my suggestions post and now it seems my league cant be found even by typing in the name.....?????

These leagues are. Violet Meadow, The GP4 Grand Touring Series, Anti-Nowhere League, The Virtual Racing Federation.

All of those leagues except one are completely empty in your tier (Elite). That's why they aren't being shown, it doesn't recommend empty leagues. The standard league browser shows the most highly recommended leagues based on population in your tier and close reputation levels.

Any league can be found by typing the name in the search. That's how I checked the amount of teams in Elite for Leslie. I searched for all the names he put in and opened the league pages.

You can also open the league page and copy/paste the link to share it with people directly, so they never have to search at all.

None of the accounts I am using are elite. However I probably checked them with my Pro account. Which still does not account for Violet Meadow because I checked it when I knew it had two teams in Pro. Also Dan Tyler above checked his league and found the filters did not list it. The Idea that I can't find an empty league by using the filters seems wrong. One of these leagues had only elite players but they still might want Rookie players to join. Rookie players could not find it using the tool. And VERY few new players use the forum to find a league. Actually very few players ever read the league forum listings and that means listing your league in the forum is very ineffective at drawing players to a league.

There needs to be options in the search window so you can search for the type of league you want, not everyone wants to join a full league when they start.

a problem i have with not showing empty leagues is simply how will we gain members without being listed?

yes you can find it by typing it in but most new sign ups to the game will use the league search tool as said above.

a league search tool should have options so you can look for exactly what you want.

thanks for trying my league, it appears it now works but when i try the serach i cannot even get the days i want it gives me whatever days it likes,lol

seems ill race on my own for now,lol

I have the same issue: When I try to setup races on Tue, Thu and Sun, those days always get shifted to Mon, Wed and Fri. Other combinations give different results. I'll try to find a combination that actually results in the days I want. :)

Got it: The days get shifted to one day after the selected ones. Maybe a timezone glitch?

Sounds like a bug that used to happen in Open Beta...

I used a rookie account to search for Cyber League which has two teams in rookie and I can't find it using the filters. Teams came up that had 28 to 30 cars in them but the poor little two team league couldn't get mentioned in the crowd. Even though it's start time is 18:30 US time.

I think I have fixed this now. It was only in certain timezones that this issue was occurring, which is why it was impacting the Americas and not Europe. Could you check and let me know if it is resolved?

I should also mention, when the times are off and you're seeing leagues that look nothing like what you've selected in the filters, the most likely cause is that no leagues were found with those filters. When that happens, it reverts to a default search for populated leagues.

Unfortunately the problem is still there. I need to select Mon, Wed and Sat to get the dates to display Tue, Thu and Sun.

Can you show me a screenshot of where you are seeing this? Also, are you seeing it on this account or another account?

I logged in as you just now and see the races on Tue, Thu and Sun as intended. It also says this when I try to edit the league while logged in as you, the selected days are Tue, Thu and Sun.

I know that in the database however the days are set a day later, as they are specified in the GMT timezone, and factoring in your timezone offset means they need to be set a day ahead to run when you intend. This should not be shown to you on the front-end in your timezone though, you should see the days you've selected.

If you are looking with another account that is in another timezone (e.g. GMT) then it will show the other day, because for that account the races will be on the next day factoring in the timezone difference. If it's not that, and you are seeing different days on an account in the same timezone then I will need screenshots to investigate further.

I dont know whats the point of not showing small or empty leagues. For sure you should Display the most suitable first. But at the bottom of the list there should the small and empty leagues listed in the suitable time range. The players should decide themself in which league they want to join.

Maybe the race lenght is for some people more important than the number of players

Thanks for that info. It was the league edit page you were having problems with, while the thread was about the league select page, which is what I fixed in my last post. It turns out both had a similar issue for certain timezones.

I've applied a patch to the league edit page as well now, please let me know if it is fixed.
