Hi,I think you can do some improvements in 3D racing, like driver changing his line when he overtakes(to not go trough the car in front like it is not here),and i think that will be good because that can slow the drivers too,now if there is a fight for a position you somehow gain time because of changing position every lap and use the DRS,I think will be better if the driver will change the racing lines to defend and that to slow them up,i don't think now is better because you can just stay with a car with the same pace as you, changing position every lap and because of using DRS you gain time, and i think will be better if the cars will be side by side changing the lines, trying switch-back moves and more

I think they unfortunately scrapped the W2W racing idea after they announced it for 2022. We haven't really had news about it since that moment, and as we know they are now focused on other sets of updates, which I (maybe foolishly) hope to be released this year, as for example the 2024 spec car.

Yes,I know, but I wish we can have some W2W racing, don't say never, they didn't said they will add new tracks until someone suggested it,when he did that, they replied and said are working at new tracks, but no one knew that, not they posted on Instagram, not sure if they did on X and Facebook too,i think it's a photo from Zandvoort, not sure, like are they working at Zandvoort, probably? So they can add this too,how much hard can be to make the cars to stay side by side and don't be invisible

The problem is W2W is very difficult to integrate into the current game and make the cars behave in a realistic way (clue, it’s called physics) and this is a very small studio with limited resources.  It also, raises the spectre of crashes and you know how the community feels about that 😬

Even adding a new track is hard since it involves a lot more than new artwork you have to check that every aspect of the game works as intended with the new design.  Add in W2W and you have a mammoth undertaking which prevents you from working on other things needed in the game.  Maybe they will surprise with the new evolution of the game,  but I wouldn’t expect this to be a priority.

Hey managers,

We’re fully committed to bringing wheel-to-wheel racing into the game in the future. However, this is a significant challenge that we can't tackle just yet—it's even more complex than transitioning our game to 3D. The intricacies of our systems and simulations are truly mind-blowing. That's why other games in our genre, which are often offline or use pre-made simulations before races start, are able to manage it more easily.

That said, we’re gearing up for our biggest update in years, which we plan to release on December 11th, coinciding with iGP’s 13th birthday. Many of you will be surprised by what we’re working on. To make this dream a reality, we’ve been expanding our team, with all the risks and effort that entails for the company.

A dedicated subgroup of our staff continues to work on hotfixes and improvements. The Android stability update is in progress, while iOS and WebGL stability updates are nearly ready. iOS recently entered external beta testing and is performing well for this early stage. We hope to release the iOS update next week, with WebGL coming before the end of September.

We’re also looking to hire a developer specializing in simulation development to help fix long-standing issues in our simulator. This includes much-requested fixes like resolving pit lane exit teleport bugs, improving lap count handling around the finish line to prevent issues related to the pit slots allocation, and updating tyre temperature logic so compounds cool on straights and heat in corners.

To fully focus on this upcoming update, we’ll be implementing a brief radio silence period over the next few months. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work towards these exciting changes.

Oh dear, we’ll have to learn how to play all over again.
Low priority on tyre temp logic pls, i have to mentally prepare for that bombshell

Proably will be easy to learn,if the tyres cool on straughts will be better than in corners, for tracks like monza,i mean with less corners, and i think that will make the ss tyres to not work on street circuits like it's now in Europe or Monaco,or will be there a difference if it's a low speed or a high speed, the tyres will heat different in different corners???We will see when they add the update

There are too many variables at play to predict exactly how this will change the relative merits of each tyre type (and remember most players will be used to doing the opposite of what they may need to do going forward).  It’s all about balance.  Change any aspect of the game and it usually has consequences elsewhere, sometimes known and sometimes unknown despite all the pre launch testing that goes on.  You only have to consider the many times tyres have been rebalanced or the changes to dirty air to appreciate things won’t necessarily work as you might expect them to.  Even when no refuelling was introduced it led to several unintended consequences so best to wait until the update arrives at the end of the year.

Not sure,if it will be realistic/logic probably not because the tyres will heat too muxh in the breaking zones in Lesmos(turns 6-7) and in Parabolica(final one)
