Hi, we had a race there that started with 0.2mm with most cars starting on inters but it wasn't raining, it stopped raining about 12 minutes before race start. Active players did 2 or 3 laps until it dried then pitted for dry tyres.

Some teams went onto mediums for the rest of the race - I was expecting them to be disqualified, I'm sure this happened to me at some point in the past. So are inters classed as a second compound now even when it hasn't rained in the race in a 2-tyre league?

Yep inters count as a 2nd compound no matter what, even if it's dry and you decide to go on inters or wets it still counts as a 2nd compound

Kimi is not correct. In a full dry race, inters and wets do not count towards the two tyre rule, you will be disqualified.

You are correct in your memory Pete, cars used to be disqualified if they used inters and one other dry compound in a drying track situation. There was an adjustment made probably over a year ago which changed the basis a little.

In the case where it is a dry race but with water on the track at the start, inters should now count towards the two tyre rule. HOWEVER, you will still need to use two tyre compounds. I'm not 100% certain on this next statement as i've never tested it, but if rain falls during the race, the two tyre rule should deactivate.
