Hi

We seem to have lost free set-up from the Daily Rewards - what is the reason for this?

We have lost previous history for the next race?

The reason is pretty clear, you now pay for for the ideal set up more often with your available tokens, which obviously generates more revenue especially from daily leagues, but quite frankly this one makes no sense because it isn’t a customisable option it is literally a core mechanic of the game.

Astonishingly barely anyone on the forums have noticed a lot of the tiny changes they conveniently slipped by us without notice, which have been frankly ridiculous. Our league has already been quite critical of this with little in the way of answer from the key decision makers, but we will continue it on our broadcast of our feeder series championship on YouTube every Sunday.

Hey Christine,

Ideal setup was not being assigned due to a bug so we decided to temporarily replace it by Cash until we find a fix for the problem.

As you can see in this example, it was forcing me to go account by account and active the Ideal setup reward manually: https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/61256

Good to see that the removal of "Ideal Setup" daily reward is only a temporary measure, but in any event, I don't understand why it is such a big issue to people.

Setups are a known value, make a note of your settings this season (there is even a place within the game for these notes) and providing the weather and your driver are the same the next time you race at the same circuit, the perfect settings will be identical.

There is even a thread in the "Help & Support" section to give you a great starting point for each circuit. https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/45862. With these starting points it will always be possible to find the perfect setup with 5 practice laps allowed.

The only time "Ideal setup" is really useful is when weather conditions are changeable. But the chances you will encounter changeable weather the day after you have received the daily reward is quite unlikely.

The reasons why it was useful were because as you say changeable conditions, the fact you could swap drivers over to get both values and the fact that our league often changes their drivers so the values can be completely different season to season - not everyone is masterfully going to calculate the set up based on a previous drivers noted set up, their height and knowledge stat is going to constantly move this figure.

The fact that it is has been removed only because of a bug is good to see and hopefully it returns as soon as possible along with the race history.
