My account is level 30, yesterday in the first race I only earned 5 research points!!
Giving 30% research it would have to give 9 points, as was the case with the other teams.

Looking at the league I can see that there are 32 cars present, but only 31 entered the last race. Circero Lima - 69 surtees may have missed it due to the 24 hour rule?
Are they by any chance the car that was at the top of the stat you were attempting to research?
It's a rare situation, but you only get research from accounts that enter the race, so if they were the car with the best stat in your research area, you would not have gotten research based on that cars value.
Does it look like this might be the posssible cause?

I don't think so because another runner did the same research and got 9 points.
But you should have access, see who researched aerodynamics in the race.
Including the player Sávio (Ford Automobili team), got 9 points, sent me the print.

Ah you researched aerodynamics?
That is your CD's weakness, this carries a research penalty. So it would be normal to receive less research in this situation.

Researching CD strength gives you a 10% bonus so instead of 30% research power you get 33%
Researching CD weakness gives a 50% penalty so instead of 30% research power you get 15%.
The result is rounded up to the nearest integer.
L30 (30%) research with a difference of 40dp
CD Normal: 40 x 0.30 = 12
CD Strength: 40 x 0.33 = 13.2 which rounds to 14
CD Weakness: 40 x 0.15 = 6
