How to make proper strategy when it's raining before the race?

I mean, if i see that it currently raining (and assume that it will keep raining), should i set the main strategy to rain tyre for the whole race?

Or should i set the main strategy with dry compounds and rely on the advance strategy to fit rain tyre?

I usually do attend all live races, but if for some reason i am unable to join, in that case, i want to know who to properly make a strategy so that when it rains, proper tyre will be used.

Also i have read the "Advance strategy guide" in the this forum. I did understand most of it but still can't understand how "If it stop raining for X laps" works.

I would appreciate it if any experienced manager could clarify the wet weather strategy and the advance strategy for me. Thank you in advance

Always set for dry and then set Advanced Strategy 1 for 0mm.  This will allow you to manually change tyres on the grid and if you miss the race start it will automatically start you on the wet tyre you have chosen if there is water on the track.

Advanced Strategy 2 is really only useful if you are offline, but it has some bugs/quirks.  How you use it is track dependant.  For example, somewhere like Malaysia or Singapore you might want to set it to 0 or 1 since the track will dry out quickly, whereas for tracks like GB or Germany where it is likely to be colder you would probably want to set for 5or 6 laps.  Of course if you are online you can opt to manually pit when the track has dried

If you’re online, put advanced strategy 2 on 0 laps. This is how it works: if it’s not raining but there’s water on track (track drying up but not completely dry) pick this tyre for qualification.

When there’s no water left, game will toggle automatically to your dry strat for quali.

When offline it means what it says: toggle to this tyre x laps after it stops raining (whenever it stops raining during live race)
