Lost a driver

What did you try to do?
I've picked a T30 driver form the academy today.. Trained him today.



What happened instead?
After todays race he is just gone. There is no second driver (I'm in 1 car league)
Tokens taken away of course.

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Wi-fi

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
PC

What operating system is your PC?
Win 11

Which browser did you experience the problem in?
Google chrome

Can the bug be reproduced?
idk

Additional comments:
The driver I was gonna train to replace current one, picked form academy today, just gone.

It looks like by mistake you did sell the wrong driver by mistake. Here are the logs:

I've never sold the driver, never put him into transfer, never straight up sold him. wtf?

EDIT

I did not want to replace a driver.. SO I did not put ANY driver for sale ffs. I was gonna train this one till he is in all 30s before I sell current one. 

I did not put a single driver for sale last 300 days not last 2 days. 

I'm playing this game sinse 2012. I know what I'm doing.

Looks like when it came to wages, the game automatically sold my driver for some reason.

Hi Watcher

Do you recall exactly what you did after purchasing the driver? I'd like to try replicating the actions to see if I can trigger anything.

A lot to ask sorry but it's only way I can think of to troubleshoot.

At least with the driver link, you should be able to rehire them for a further 9 tokens. I believe buy now for previously owned staff has been reactivated.

Hey again,

I’m just sharing the logs with you. You can use the Buy Now option to hire the driver again. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about it since the logs are showing the opposite case.

Hey, Red.. 

Nothing speciall. I've picked up a driver. To train him for a season or two to replace current one. 

I came after the live race to train him, but he was gone. 

I've never had intention to put him up for sale, never had intention to put the current driver for sale. I neve intiated transfer for any of them. 

I've shared an image in my last post there. It just went under "drivers wages +7 something millions".

I think it got glitched. Should be both drivers wages in minus. But game just straight up sold my driver.

Hmmm, it's 9 minutes after the staff wages were processed. So it shouldn't be part of the same process as the post race clean up and salary payouts.

I'll sell a driver later when i'm home from work and see if that's how a sale shows up in financial history.

Will edit when i've managed to look at a few more things.

Alright thanks.. 

It's just I never went to sell any of my drivers or staff.. Never got to that page, had no plans to do it.. 

Also as I said, I'm playing IGP since 2012, never happened something like this. 

EDIT: Jose's timestamp is right after the race as 100% race started at 18:00. Which leads me to bealieve it has something to do with drivers wages. You said it was 9 minutes later. But I went to training screen right after the race and there was no driver there.

So, making use of sell now does show up as driver wages in the financial history. So that element isn't anything unusual.

But the disparity in the timestamps is interesting, I've asked for a check of my logs there from my test purchase and sale in case there's something wrong with the clock in the logs altogether or something equally weird.

So while we wait for that. Please just walk me through how things went when your live race finished, I'm going to ignore the timestamp of the logs of 50 minutes for now and focus on the timestamp of 59.

Was that round about when you logged back on and went to train the driver? Or was it literally a case of as soon as you finished the race you went back to the menu's and driver was gone?

I want to work this one out :)


Update: we've checked a few things and the correct timestamp is the xx:59. So please if you can help out at all with exactly what actions you took i'll go experiment.

idk, as far as I can help.. I just went to train the drivers and one was not on the list. Might be 9 minutes after the race as I was watching the race results, checking my tire wear for each stint, checking the league table etc. And after that I usually go to my other accounts. Because this one is created just to watch offline races. This account is not important to me. 

Nothing more I can tell about it. 

For me the case is done, I've used buy now option to get the driver back and everything is fine. As far as helping to figure out what happened, I don't have anything more than what I already said.

Because I wanted to play live league after 2 years. I got the itch to race a little.
