My league is dead, need help

Someone joined the live viewer by the name of Ram, and promoted a most interesting thing, while me and one other manager have been fighting it out last season and this season, all the other teams are managerless mostly because of the same setups, being 7 seconds off the pace and the retirements are all exactly the same. so they are all just taking up space for other potential managers to join in.

I would like to request that the rookie, pro and most of the elite field are removed from the league so it can once again provide some entertainment to the managers there.

I am guessing the league host is no longer active?

If it really is only the handful of you racing in elite then it would make more sense for the active elite drivers to move to or create a new league.

Even if you could convince Jack or who ever to clear down the league for you, its likely that with no active league owner it will just return to the way it was.

But if you create your own league where you are the owner and active you at least have a better chance of controlling and managing the league.

that poses an interesting question why isn't there something in game that moves the league host from one player who has abandoned his team and league to an active manager joined at the first chance?

Well I suppose for one thing, the league host "owns" the league... its could be argued its not for anyone else to take it away?

it would be a very difficult one to work I think, because what do you class as "abandoned".

I know the BRL league needed pretty much daily attention to keep it active, were another league I am in, the league host disappeared for 2 months and came back.

And how do you choose who should run the league? Just because your active, it doesnt mean you will be a good host.

I think any system where is automatically changes league hosts would be problematic.

I guess its why Jack has avoided (as far as I know) requests to manually reassign league owners etc.

I think someone previously suggested "co-hosts" or a secondary host?

if given the choice i will look into all the teams and decide to remove them, i will remove a good few of them, leave a few behind and let more players join in, eventually i will do away with the other inactives. since the system takes care of the league part, only thing on my end is to keep everything the way it is. time, car numbers per team and so on.

to be fair though, how long is long enough before it it is long enough that the host in question clearly has been out too long and it should be given to someone else. i don't care if it is me or JC Skyfire, as long as the active manager has control of it then so be it.

also what happens if a league host wishes to leave and keep their league going? having that ability for the game itself to transfer the ownership to another manager would be beneficial as well.

It would be a good way to do it for sure. I wasnt trying to suggest you wouldnt be a good league host, it was more of a general "you". It might happen that the system gives the league to someone who just decides on a whim to kick everyone and delete the league for example!



Now this one is a issue... There is currently no option for a current league host to transfer league ownership as far as I know :(
