Hey managers,

Thanks for your patience and continued excitement around the upcoming update. We know many of you are eager to experience the new wheel-to-wheel racing. Please know that we are working hard every day and we prefer to launch the update only when it is fully polished and free from any known bugs or issues.

The wheel-to-wheel update has been in external beta testing since June 24, and we are now reaching a great point in terms of fixes, improvements and fine-tuning. The update does not only include wheel-to-wheel. There are three more improvements and new features still to be announced as part of this release.

We also know how important the optional transition from 2D to 3D will be for many players, so we have made several improvements to the 3D viewer to make this transition easier. One of these is a new camera angle that replicates the 2D view from a top-down perspective.

We’re posting sneak peeks on social media so please stay tuned. Already shown some clips of wheel-to-wheel (please note these videos are from even earlier states of development, internal testing).

Thank you for being part of the iGP community.

Thanks for the update, Jose... I really appreciate the 3D mode, unfortunately the majority of the competitive managers are still using the 2D mode, simply because its much easier to handle in online races.

So why don't you just remove the 2D mode and focus on the development of the 3D mode? Then you would save a lot of resources, because you don't need to synchronize both modes...

Maybe you could give the league admins the feature to limit game play to certain views, e.g. cockpit view.

Nothing is being spent on 2D. 2D mode won’t support the wheel-to-wheel cars racing, it’ll show races as always and we won’t scrap this mode but it won’t receive new updates.

Will there be blue flags for lapped cars? Because I always get unlucky with the lap cars getting drs and overtaking me again making me lose time more

We’re not considering blue flags addition for this first integration of wheel-to-wheel. It will be a top priority for future releases.
