Hi i'm very surprised with my new car desing
i'm level 17
my CD is 20/20/20 https://igpmanager.com/app/d=staff&id=163153&tab=stats
i've the same CD for last 52 races
strenght -> Downforce
Weakness -> Fuel economy

and the stats are this:

Acceleration 41 - 1 Fuel Economy
Braking 38 - 38 Handling
Cooling 38 - 38 Reliability
Downforce 50 - 38 Tyre economy

really only 1 point in fuel economy??? 1 ??
that's right?bug?correct?

This is not a bug, design is now based on your CD stars (5 in your situation) and on your CD strength and weakness :
- strength = downforce => 50 pts
- weakness = fuel eco => 1 pts

For sure you're not using a honda or toyota engine to save the earth ^^

It's nice. Could of been worse

Star ratings strength ( suggestion )
5 - 50
4 - 40
3 - 30
2 - 20
1 - 10

Star rating weakness ( suggestion )
5 - 5
4 - 4
3 - 3
2 - 2
1 - 1

Everything else on the car 0
17 design points ( Facility Level ) Start of the season to play about with, as we finish Abu Dhabi and have nothing to show for it.

Jack said he wanted to make it hard for leagues to max out cars from now on a few days ago

It still does not look like a fair distribution. His average must be 38 because everything else is there. The strength gives a rise above average of 12 points but the weakness gives a reduction of 37. That's really uneven.

8 areas of design and 16 teams in a league surely not everyone will have the same strength!
No matter what your level, you can have a 5star CD. So everyone will have 50 points in different areas to spy on.
25 x 7 = 175 design point after the first race for the CD and TD to slap on to the cars plus you have your own design points again. There is also the suppliers +3 points spread out or all in one area.

I still think there are bonus design points awarded after the last race of the season depending on your finishing position in the constructors championship. If not I can't understand why I start the season with more points than N even though my CD is only 4.5 star and I had a 2.5 star CD in charge briefly last season to minimise car design to counter the previous spying system.
Total DP for N Llens = 282 with 5 star CD
My total DP = 330 with a 4.5 star CD

Sounds like F1 the higher up the standings you are the more money you have to develop your car.

yes, weakness...
but elite tier, level 17, CD 20/20/20 5.5 star, and only 1 point?=?= wth
what happens with rookies level 1? they have negative points or what? xD

James. I'm not complaining, I've been second in the MJL Elite tier championship for three seasons in a row and the extra dp that I seem to receive for high position finishes are welcome (at least they are now the super strong spying system has been toned down). But it does mean that it's difficult for the teams who finish lower down the league to knock the established teams off the top spots.
I'd just like to add that the revised spying system is much better and is providing some really close racing so a big thank you to the developers who have listened to our concerns and done something about it.
