Research DP Gain Query

is there a cap on how many DP can be gained on a race or is there a bug?

Race today 69735040, Fuel DP Gap = 66 DP, Research Power = 33%, Expected DP Gain 23 DP, Actual DP Gained = 12 DP

Any input greatly appreciated.

Your Chief Designer has Fuel Economy as his weakness. Researching the area of weakness comes with a 50% hit. Hence the reduced gain.

Totally forgot bout the weakness, my bad :-). 

Hes a new CD n didnt bother to check upon assigning him for this race. 11 DP lost to heaven :-)
