esc no longer works in 2d race viewer

What did you try to do?
hit escape to deselect both drivers to stop map swirling around and give me a better overall view. It's impossible for me to play without it as constantly moving map gives me migraine

nothing

Additional comments:
Also tried it in race spectate, same result. Tried going through every key on the keyboard in case it had been moved, no joy.
