In your long-term journey in iGP Manager, which profile fits you best?

  • Option A — The Structural Builder

Focus on infrastructure, long-term development, and sustainable competitiveness. You're willing to sacrifice short-term wins to build independence, including developing your own engine and facilities for future dominance.

  • Option B — The Immediate Competitor

Prioritize performance right now. You use the best available tools (including top-level customer engines) to maximize current results, adapt quickly to the meta, and stay competitive every season.

Short Explanation for Each Type

Structural Builder:
Plays the long game. Invests in assets, autonomy, and cumulative advantage. Sees seasons as steps in a multi-year strategy.

Immediate Competitor:
Plays for efficiency and results. Optimizes within the current environment. Values adaptability, speed of execution, and competitive stability.

Option C - The Dissatisfied Manager

Formerly passionate manager about the game, but now barely plays due to the huge shift towards P2W (pay to win)

-May now sometimes set up for the races (depending if the track still has the stop start, down the straight bug)
-Occasionally repairs the car before races.

For me, as a League Host (currently co-hosting), the game goes in two different levels:

  1. The Competitor: I'm not a dogmatic in the way the game is intended to be, and I like to find and apply the latest exploits in the "meta". I have a relatively low level compared to other managers in my league, so I try to find a mix between short term results (buying engines) and long term research plannings.

  2. The Host: As a host, the long term is crucial to sustain a good league, which isn't always the same of a top level league. The things I do for that is to apply simplicity in the rules (easy to understand and strictly applied) and keep the rest of managers motivated doing the things I do with a smile in my face. I'm a showman, so it isn't difficult!
