what does the numbers to the right of the tyre mean?
i understand the the numbers next to the fuel pump is for quantity of fuel put in the car per stint... but what does the numbers next to the tyre mean?
I cant add a screenshot of the page i am on about

If you talk about race results: left is tyre life (for example 95% means tyre is only 5% degraded). Right is fuel, that is amount of fuel in the car when crossing the start-finish line.

no mate, after you do the practice runs you go into setting the strategy pitstops for the race.... you set the tyres you want start, pit1, p2, p3, p4.... under the tyre you have another tyre symbol and next to that you have to the right of it there is a (12) for example and then under that u have fuel pump icon... which you set how many laps of fuel you start each stint with.... but i dont understand what the numbers next to the tyre symbol is...

laps before the tyre hits 45% ish if you mean the number I think

In theory that's an estimate how many laps that compound lasts. In reality that number brings the tyre down somewhere into the 30% area, if I remember correctly. That means usually long after any usefull pace left the tyre and went looking for a pub, but long before a puncture happens. However maybe around the point the driver starts to wish for that puncture just to end the suffering.

It’s very plainly 100 divided by the practice percentage of that compound.
It’s meant to give an idea how long tyres would last, as Frank pointed out it doesn’t. And there is no higher math going on there, just 100 / tyre wear

So what's the point of giving these figures at all ???

Neat idea and the wish to give newer players a guideline, but falling short due to the difficulty finding any usefull value as variability of circumstances and current tyre balancing makes it quite difficult, and opinionated topic if discussed. Raising puncture chance to 25% or 30% (and making sure it's activated as the rare events a tyre got worn that far never triggered one above 0%), perhaps depending on PL, would give it more value. However as long as pace forbids entering those values it'd be moot, though.

if thats the case, its pointless cos 9/10 times especially in my league people are pitting around 50-55% mark... i have tried doing one less pit stop and its no advantage....
