Hi everyone. I just started playing iGP Manager and I’m currently at a low level. From what I’ve read, it can take around 4 years to reach the top levels in the game. I’ve also seen some players mentioning losses of around 17 million per race when running everything at the top level (top drivers, top 7 staff, best engine and chassis, all level 40 headquarters, etc.).
I don’t plan to spend real money, so I’m trying to understand if it’s really viable to stay competitive over that long as a free player. For those who have been playing for a long time, is it realistic to progress and remain competitive without spending, or does the game eventually require purchases to keep up? Four years is a long journey if, in the end, spending real money becomes necessary.
For comparison, in Motorsport Manager Online and F1 Clash it seems to take roughly 1–2 years for free players to reach higher levels, though not necessarily be competitive. I’m just trying to understand if a long-term free-to-play journey is realistic in iGP Manager as well.

Nah, you don’t need to buy anything to be competitive. You’ll be fine as a f2p player. The earnings scale up together with the cost.

If you race daily expect to reach level 30 in about 1 year. From level 24 and above I’ll say you can be somewhat competitive against level 40 players. The main difference is just the HQ. Level 40 players will get more points to develop their car over the course of the season, so they will eventually be more competitive but you can expect a few wins if you understand how to play.

Long story short, you won’t need to buy anything additional cash.
