New Viewer Release - 27 November

Hi all,

First off sorry for the huge delay on getting the next version of the viewer up, due to a change of circumstances when I put the first version up I was working from home and could spend a little more time on iGP. I have now got a full time job however so my time has been limited of late on working on this new version.

Changes include :

• Profile and Cars should now appear sharper at all times.
  
• General improvements to rendering should help increase FPS on some machines.
  
• Minor text changes on settings.
  
• Saving settings has been improved.
  
• Water level is now decimalised to 1 point this should help decide when to change to Inters or wets better.
  
• Sound Fx changes and added.
  
• Italy track should be fixed.
  

If you have any issues with it not getting to the point where it has the loading symbol in the top left, try hard refreshing

Just the Chrome issue i mentioned in the race earlier - it wouldnt load; kept erroring. Edge worked fine.

Fucking cancer this new version, cars are lagging like mad. Test the versions before releasing them?

This version has been tested over the last couple of weeks internally, some things were not ready they got dropped. What race are you in?

When first tried to connect at the viewer, it said Error and 'retrying in 5 seconds' But the screen froze to 5sec and it didn't try to connect again. After 1 min it automatically connected but the viewer client was broken. The game said 50 FPS but in my screen it was definetly wasn't 50fps, the cars were teleporting around the track.

I'm aware of the initial connection issue also, I am trying to look into it in a bit.

how do u zoom in during the race ? as as far as i can see on here it's not explained as looked cant find nothing

Car detail is lots better but frame-rate and race speed remains the same.
Italy it wired to the moon. their are two Italy races running one connects the car are on track and facing the right way the other the cars are off track and sideways

Esteban. We have noticed this in the past when we update the viewer code the browser keeps a cached one and loads that instead and the checks don't allow it to run properly. Usually after a hard refresh it fixes itself.

The Network error code that comes up usually still connects after the second try, i'm still investigating this, however the Italy drifting problem should now be sorted.

Looks like you just applied a fix, I was getting the pop-up dialogs even despite restarting my laptop.

The viewer is finally loading.

Could the Start/Finish audio clip 'nyoom' be given more bass?

I did ctrl+F5. I'm going to empty the cache memory for next race.

Try spectating a race before your race to make sure you have the most up to date code
