So, my driver has said he wants X and sets a laptime of 1.39.158

I reduce wing and ride height and he goes faster, 1.39.123

Now, i know this is a marginal change, but the reduction in downforce could lead to improved speed on the straights etc and obviously hasnt harmed handling...

Do you ever over ride your drive?

There is an optimal setup for each track.
Drivers have their own optimal setup to allow them to perform well.
Wet and Dry give different optimal setups.

In order to test things out you need to know the best wet and dry setups.
Wet ride-height & suspension with Dry wing-levels should allow you to save tyres and be fast on straights and in the corners, the same way F1 games work on the consoles.

It may or may not work, only people that might know are Jack, Ricky & Darren.
They have tested many things I would say to insure there is fairness in the game and someone that is mathematical genus can't get an unfair advantage over someone who isn't.

I find that although my drivers suggest different ride height and wing settings between dry and wet conditions they never ask for different suspension hardness. Wet and dry is always the same.

There are 3 options:
eat the tyres
save the tyres
middle ground mix of both

Weight of fuel slows you down and also results in saving tyres, it's really hard to know what to do.

Here Jamie check this out tyre & fuel savings by uping the ride-height.

As I said above it works on F1 games on the consoles. looks like it could work here also if you knew the best wet & dry setup for your driver you could get a bit more tyre savings by using the wet ride-height settings in the dry

hmmm...

Interesting!!!

This is only in the test laps... may test this over a full 100% race... I have 2 drivers somewhere finishing within seconds of each other pretty regularly... should make for a good test.

Yes it does look like a good testing only 0.114 of a second slower than what the driver likes but the extra 0.5% of trye life might make up for it over the full stint as he wouldnt drop of as much as he would using the default settings
