The AI assistant

 the AI assistant is not very usful. Ive played this game since 2018 and ive not found it at all helpful now new comers may disagree but if you it cant be updated to give more insightfull information than I think IGP should loss it. let me know your thoughts.

Its just a new way to scam tokens out of you, not useful much.

To be honest, Jack... if it's a scam, the AI tool is so limited that it can only say things for beginners (things that, by the way, any newbie can deduce through their own analysis of each race), or give vague answers that don't help solve the problem but rather exacerbate it, which simply doesn't help at all and steals one token per question to tell you that in 90% of cases it isn't designed to assist with strategy.

To give you an idea, in my league, we use realistic settings. Since there are no records of exactly how the system works and how it affects the car, as well as not understanding the first few days of its operation and that we were doing something wrong, I went to the AI, which wasted 5 tokens by asking exact, precise questions. The AI only gave me the same answer: "I can't provide data on strategies", or general automotive-related answers rather than those related to iGP. Even though I wasn't asking for strategies, I wanted to know exactly how realistic settings work. It was better for me to train a Gemini Pro model so I could understand the system and make my configurations realistic, without having to use tokens in a tool limited to dredes.

To be honest, it's a scam. If you really struggle with OpenAI per question, and the users aren't served by its limitations, then AI is eliminated - that way you save money, just as users save tokens.

I felt the same way, the value of response per token cost doesn’t match my expectations, I appreciate the initiative but it still feels disconnected from IGP ecosystem. 

My biggest concern about the AI assistant is that it may not necessarily pull exclusively from data sources only related to iGP Manager. One time I used it to ask why I finished 1 lap behind the leader in a race where I performed setup but could not attend the live race.

Curiously, one of the possibilities it provided made no sense in the context of iGP. The below is a direct quote.

"1. Race Conditions: If there were unexpected events such as accidents, safety cars, or weather changes, they could have impacted the race outcome."

Why would the AI think accident and safety cars are relevant to iGP Manager? I checked my screenshot, and I asked the question last month (August 2026). And it should also go without saying that safety cars wouldn't cause anyone to fall further behind a race leader, so I'm not sure what logic it was following there. Also, the race I was asking clearly did not feature rain, as no driver was placed on Intermediates or Wets.

It’s just a tool for beginners. Not someone playing since 2018. Needs to use data through practice runs and previous team performances.
