Twice today I have placed the first bid on a driver only for the bid to not be registered but showing as the first round bid and my token taken. When I refreshed the page the drivers were not shown anymore.

I understand that the buy now button exists but I don't understand why my bids are not being registered on the transfer screen?

I have only seen this happen when bidding on someone at the bottom of the list. Each time you refresh the page the bottom 2 drivers and staff members will be different

Thats fine but in that instance surely I should get my tokens back if the bid isn't registered properly. I don't mind losing the token to someone outbidding me, but not to a bug

Hi Leighton. Thanks for reporting this. Can you paste a link to the relevant driver please so I can investigate.

It did this to me the other day, but when I came back and checked on it my bid was there again.

This got weirder. It's all resolved now as the drivers appeared in my driver list after the auction had ended even though I had no way of checking on the progress. I can still post the driver links if needed

Don't worry about it. What happened was that the bid system stopped accepting bids and buy nows due to a bug, and it was resolved by a restart.

Regarding checking the progress of auctions that you have bid on - in future we plan to display them at the top of the Transfers list.

wee window section on the home page for active bids, might work ok for computers, but phones might be iffy

Yes, to fully retain useability with phones those would need to be somewhere on the home screen window itself. Perhaps either a new selection/tab for it or adding an active bids section under shortlist.

I think that's a really neat idea James, thanks for creating the mock-up.

Let's see what Jack thinks!

Something else we are looking to add in the future are notifications when other people place subsequent bids.

very quick mock up can clearly see I didnt shrink the images I added to 80% otherwise it would of looked better. But you get the idea, there is free space at the side, and that space is there no matter what page you open.

As nice as that is on a big widescreen desktop, it wouldn't work on so many devices, and even PCs with narrower monitors. I'll figure it out when we get on to it, which will be before mobile launch. Thanks for the suggestion though, I always welcome new ideas. Sometimes just seeing another take on something helps create a better idea all round.

It doesnt fit my laptop either, that why I use a small 80% window, to view all at once.

100% looks like this
