League hosts now have the ability to move league races to later dates. This is important when holidays, birthdays and personal events get in the way of the regular league schedule. Given that we have major holidays like Christmas and New Year coming within weeks this seemed like the ideal time to add this feature.

Hosts can access this option from the 'Edit' page for any league they manage, under the 'Schedule' tab.

What happened? If there's a bug I'll need details to fix it.

Also, which races did you want on which dates?

I've tried to postpone the next two races in our league today and when I select them in the drop down box the "postpone" button is greyed out? Any idea what I can do?

Have you already postponed a race before? You can only postpone the next race.

For example. I see you race on 21 December. If I have a race that day, I can push it off until 4 January. On 4 January the league schedule will resume from where it left off from, the Turkish iGP. All races will resume running on the selected days to race on. Since you race once a week, British iGP will run on 11 January, German iGP on the week after, so on, so forth.

Yep, grand. Except if I try to postpone the next race the postpone button is greyed out.

Hi Jack,

Tried to setup the races to be so it ends on the 24th and start racing again on the 2nd. Somehow we ended up with the 7th, then tried to change this and it then moved again.

Can you try doing a hard refresh on the site (CTRL+F5) or clear cache and try again. It sounds like you might not have the latest JavaScript downloaded, and maybe a cached version. Which browser are you using?

Assuming you race daily, then to achieve this you would only select the race on the 25th and set its new date to the 2nd. The system will figure it all out and postpone all the races in between for you.

I'm going to take a guess that you probably attempted to move the races one-by-one in reverse order, which will result in some races being postponed multiple times. E.g. if you move Race A from January 1st to January 2nd, then move Race B from December 31st to January 1st, Race A will likely have moved back twice, and now be on January 3rd, as everything after a race that gets postponed also gets postponed. With each consecutive postponement 'Race A' will get further and further way, until it lands on January 7th or something, which I think is what I saw on your league.

It's only necessary to select the race at the beginning of the period you want to open a gap in, then postpone that race to when you want the period to end. The system figures everything else out for you.

Firefox.

Yea, the hard reset did the trick, probably should have tried that before asking but hey ho. Thanks!

Understood now, anyway for a revert? At the moment it shows that we will be starting back on the 11th Jan?

I've moved it back to the 2nd. I saw on your league some discussion about the 4th but if you want to move it to the 4th you know how now. :)

Who is the host of "World Racing Championship" League? I want to know if we can postpone the race Christmas eve race. Can't find who the host or admin is.
