hello!

is it usual that a driver with 26 years looses on the blue develpment scale?
my brazilian driver gomes changed to level 6 4races ago and was already 1/4 further on blue and now is back on the beginning of blue after the last race and last training.

It's certainly possible with Rule 4.5 skill atrophy.

But 26 years is pretty young and lost 1/4 of develpment on blue scale, thats very much in comparison to my older drivers ,
and does a not talented driver loose more?

thanks

That's a good question: what influence does the talent stat have?

Likelihood of being picked up by a modelling agency. Only drivers with the first name Nico or last name Rosberg can acheive 20 in this stat.

Lost a level or gained one? If the driver moved up a level the blue bar would reset to the beginning.

I can't think of any possible way that a driver could lose an entire overall level.

How come the drivers gain weight at an alarming rate? My main driver, Benjamin Bernard, is a fatso (100kg) and he still manages to win races.

Maybe I should call my team truck drivers. :)

Or maybe is a French thing. :)

Just finished a race where a level 4 driver to level 3.  He is 18 years old.  He was at level 3 prior to the start two races ago and upon completing that race just barely became a level 4 driver.  The very next race he was back down to level 3 and this was after he won a bonus for his finish.

EDIT: I just noticed that my other driver who is 23 years old also lost a bit on the blue bar.

I don't think, that there is any change needed. We know what's going on, and we can react to this. It's the same for all players. And if there are some attributes, which influences this behaviour, that we have to find the rules for our own. This is imo the main task for us, to find out, rules, beside the oficial rules. Otherwise a thing, which make this game as it is, is gone ;).

@Dennis... so a driver can go down levels? if so does he now have nearly a full bar on level 3?

+ if your training your drivers between every race, they should always be getting better on the "blue scale" unless your getting really old or really crap people.. My 2x Level 2 drivers i hired for the first race are halfway to level 4 after 7 races + i'm pretty sure certain attributes dont move the blue bar at all

There is nothing wrong with losing a bit on the blue bar, that's built in to the game and supposed to happen. It means their skills have atrophied slightly since the last race, and you have to train them to keep them going up. See my reply to the OP.

The only post here which was a concern was Jesus', but he didn't specify if he had gained or lost a level, so the driver most likely levelled up after training in my estimation.

EDIT: On the driver weight issue, I've just added code to stop that from happening, it was too fast.

Yes a driver can decrease in level.  The bar went from just a sliver of blue to about approx. 95% full.

Edit: Interesting...that was before I trained the driver. I just checked again (post training) and he increased to level 4 and a good deal more than before the race.
