I was thinking about this during my race yesterday. I noticed that there are level 13 cars in elite which can't be as competitive with most of us being level 16-17. I thought, maybe adding one or 2 more tiers to leagues would increase competitiveness in leagues, and make the races more enjoyable. Is that at all possible?

Depending on who the highest leveled player is in your tier, I suspect they earn bonus xp. They'll eventually be competitive.

Yes, they do. For example I get now in MJL Elite ~160 xp and in Pro it was 100-110 xp despite I'm now lurking at the bottom of the grid. But Andrew does have a point. At least in 2 car leagues with increasingly high standard it gets more difficult to establish a foothold especially in the top tier. There are manager who are prepared to enter elevator zone but it looks to me for quite a lot manager this seems not to be the case and they either quit the league, which increases the gap throwing even lower level teams into this, or silently slide into inactiveness. I guess the biggest trouble is that in that 'gap' you really have to be on your toes if you want experience progress with your team.

It's a bit due to design, the game is divided in leagues that usually, if you want 2 cars, only hold 48 teams at most from the very beginner up to the top player. The league you choose and the few player in it is your whole world in this game. I suppose that's why a lot of manager prefer 1 car leagues, because with up to 96 player there's even in Elite some room beside the important hard core of players, that 'are' the league so to speak, for manager to enter and leave over time and more of a chance to see you're getting somewhere even if you're playing more casually.
