Hi there, I can't seem to find the information on this.

Basically I would like to know what the different weather temperature ranges are for each type of tyre.

For example:

Super Soft: -5°C to 5°C
Soft: 5°C to 15°C

Obviously you can use whichever tyre you would like to but there must be a range for each type of tyre where they are more suited than the others.

My knowledge of F1 is very limited and what I might consider warm or hot is probably vastly different to that of the game design or F1 categorisation.

I apologise if this has been asked before, but my searches weren't returning any posts.

There is nothing set in stone, in my opinion they cant set it in stone because Tyre Economy overwrites the slate.

Currently
0-28°C SuperSoft can be used on low & medium wear tracks without any problems and best to use Soft on high wear tracks.
29-38°C Medium tyres would be ok on low & medium wear tracks and Hards on high wear tracks, but if someone has high level Tyre & Fuel Economy chances are SS & S will still be faster tyres stopping 6-7 times over you using these tyres on 4 stops.

Watch what everyone else is doing in the league and if you can, look up history and previse what they might be doing.

Tryes will be getting a shakeup at the end of the month. Might be better to ask then for an example of what's hot and what's not.

Hopefully the tyre shakeup will bring in more variety to strategy than the current model, as it seems the two main compounds used are super soft and soft with the occasional medium being used by active managers on purpose.

Even high tyre wear tracks at 10°C you will find me scooting around on Hard tyres doing just 2-3 more laps than Softs tyre cars most of the time I finish 12th or 14th but I'm up against drivers with far more experience and staying close to them. (my 6 exp vrs their 20 exp) Softs are mostly push level 2 but the Hard tyres are push level 4 for most of race only 3-4 laps have to drop to push level 3 to cool the tyres.

The active managers use SS and S most because during live races they always let the drivers to drive in push level 1,2 or sometimes 3 so that they can manage the tire temperature because as what i have experienced that push level 1 with optimal tire temps is faster than push level 5 with overheated tires and they can also save tire life.LOL

Hmmmm, I was wondering how well hard tyres performed on high push against the softs and super softs on low push.

So while we're on the subject of tyres, when is the best time to change tyres in a race? When tyres have around 30% remaining?

Forget about wear level and watch the lap times, if the tyre goes over -0.600 slower than the best natural time, it's time for new boots, remember as tyres wear you push harder, that's maintaining temperatures and the speed of the tyre, also useful for burning off the extra 1 litre estimated laps gives you.

I stopped talking about estimated laps because I have found a way around it
