also balances front/rear for different conditions. in real life, under wet/slick conditions you need less front braking because with less traction you will not transfer as much weight onto the front brakes and they will be more lock up prone. that may seem counter intuitive but believe me that's the way it works.
Thanks for this post, I did not know that. In fact I was moving it forward in the wet assuming you would want to avoid rear locking and spinning.
I have inverted (and reduced) the brake balance impact to be more rearward for wet weather setups, after confirming this with a couple of race engineers.
