In MY opinion I think 5 laps is a bit short for practice. I feel more laps should be taken for practice as it could enable more competitive results.

Only problem is that is it too easy to find the ideal setup.

At least for a two car league (10 laps total) it's no problem finding the ideal setup anyway and for managers who noted down the setup it's something they only have to do once for a new driver with quite some different setup preferences and sometimes for rain.
I'd like to have training where you could test out effects of (fuel) weight, tyre temps or push level. Having to use at least one driver, or a secondary team if you want, as guinea pig at the actual races feels not exactly right and how things should be.

Totally agree with you all tho.

Opa... seria muito bom... mas se são treinos livres, eles não deveriam serem "livres"?

I think 8 laps are perfect numbers for practice.
