I won my first championship, however i dont see much point of it apart from amountiing the tally on champioships in your team.
Does anyone know if they will change that?

I recall reading in another thread that there is currently no financial reward because the money supply is already too generous. If that's the case it would certainly be interesting if there could be some other form of reward.

I said it before. Money is indeed way to much for everyone, you have to be a total moron to go bankrupt, but if prizes and sponsorship money is lowered and prizes for position at the end of the championship are rewarded, would be more challenging and more realistic.

There has been long, frequent and detailed discussion about this over the time of beta testing.
It was decided that, although not perfect, how the game is played at the moment is the best compromise.
Jack will tweek the amounts that are gained throughout the game, sometime in the future, as we do seem to be making too much money.
He is aware of this problem.
I frequently made myself bankrupt in the old system - it was very easy - and we decided that this would be a huge turn-off for new players so adopted a more generous system. But as i have said, the more generous system will be looked at again.

I always thought there should be a prize for winning, otherwise whats the point in trying to win in the first place?
Michal Saskowski medal 5000 12 years 274 days ago
What also worries me is the prize money per race. My friend could finish the race on 9th or better to get the money, and I have to finish 4th or better. In the end of the season he finished 6th and I finished 1st, and now he has five million more money than I have ...

Money means absolutely nothing at the moment in this game, so giving people more of it is totally pointless.

My suggestion is give money according wit performance.
Jack Basford medal 5025 CEO & CTO 12 years 271 days ago
I think that is a reasonable suggestion. Let's say if the objective rewards are scaled depending on how far up or down the grid your objective is. So at the front of a 32 car grid it might be 1.5m per objective, and at the back it might be 500k per objective. Thoughts?
I agree that there is far too much money in circulation, but you just wait for the wrath of users who spend frivolously if we refine it. Hell hath no fury like a manager without a budget.

I like your suggestion Jack - it is a start.
I thought I had too much money as well but I am level 7 and have £55mill.
I am lucky as I have been managing to gain most of my objectives.
However at level 8 I can buy facilities that will cost £45mill so haven't actually made a huge profit.
I think I am doing better than most (maybe I am wrong) but if the facilities are to expand with more areas to spend money then I think the rewards etc are about correct.
When I move up into a tier with better drivers I will not be so good and therefore will not make so much money - it will level out.
The whole 'what you send your money on thing' needs to be looked at.
Making money isn't the problem it is what you can spend it on - there needs to be a lot more (and more expensive items/upgrades etc)
The way it is at the moment nobody is getting into debt unless they are very unfortunate - this is good as debt is a real downer!
But players with lots of money must be tempted to spend it on something that will give them a very small edge or just lots of 'fame'.
I also hate the idea of being able to sell a facility with no penalty - but that is another discussion point.

It's a tough one. I think it's a particular strength of the game at the moment that it is kind to the underdog (position targets are lower & design improvements are faster)
I think this game benefits from making it harder for the rich to becoming richer so to speak - and not having a reward for winning probably helps to maintain that. It's not like people are gonna try not to win because there isn't a prize is it?
Andrew Hurn medal 5000 12 years 271 days ago
I like the idea of scalable rewards. It would seem sensible that a better finish = more money.

If you guys have so much money, spend it on something good: charity.
