Clearly this isn't a priority, but there are an endless number of leagues packed only with players who are inactive, and if the league host is also inactive, you have a ghost league. I wonder if at some point in the future, if someone doesn't log in for a whole season (for example) it would be possible to have them automatically leave the league to make space for other people. I figure it would take an awful lot of strain off the servers if you weren't having dozens of races with hundreds of teams which are really, basically AI. Another option would be to stop auto-filling drivers - I've seen complaints about someone getting a terrible driver for a long contract if they've not renewed before their driver runs out, so that would fix two issues at once...

I hoped to add this a while back but didn't get around to it. It's on my list. :)

Maybe make it part of a league management upgrade :D

Leave it to the league owner. I've kept inactives in our 2nd tier because it would be too empty otherwise. I'll boot them when they get relegated.

That's fine when the league owner is active, Clayton, which is why I was very specific that it's an issue when the league owner is inactive also. Maybe we could have an override where an active manager can skip an autoboot?

Maybe a vote for a new league host could come up automaticly if the former was inactive for a season/month or so? Probably some holiday checkbox to delay it might be usefull and, inactive or not, the old host should be in the vote list. If the league owner is inactive it cripples a league way more than any other inactive manager. Once there's an active owner booting other inactives would be no problem.

Well it it was to be added as part of a league management tool of some sort

1) The league manager should be able to enabled/disable and set thresholds, say 5 days of inactivity.
2) Holiday period - Managers need to be able to highlight their teams as being in a "holiday" period. I have 2 people in the BRL that are on holidays and just arent playing. But I know in advance and dont kick them.

Is this a problem for performance? i mean when loading or during races?

Would make sense that it would impact qualification for sure... all these extra teams that arent being managed, but doing qualifications laps on medium tyres with Neutral/25/25 setup.

I believe that eventually the cars from the inactive managers should be so worn down they can't qualify...

But yes this game was something that had probably less than 3000 managers and the Android app alone has had at least 50,000 downloads. Something will need to be optimized. I think that if there are multiple leagues running at the same time, running the same distance with same # of cars they should be consolidated unless they are private leagues. This is multiplayer, and we should be running against as many other managers as possible. This is the challenge of this game; to out strategize your opponents who come from all different backgrounds with all sorts of different ideas
