Excuse me if I posted my comment under the wrong thread.

During the race (I always see the races live) I noticed that some cars at a certain point the icon of the battery shows, and even a thin red light from the back of the car. I never seen these things happen to my cars.

First of all what these things refer to and why I do not see them on my cars? Am I doing something wrong. This is my second season, so may be I still have to learn more about this amazing game. Thanks.

Those effects show that a car uses its KERS/boost. The red bar/icon above those cars indicates how much energy they still have left. To use it yourself you click into the red KERS/battery field in your car info area (It activates after the 2nd lap, before that or if you ran out of energy it's greyed out). You can also hit S (1st car) or K (2nd car) on your keyboard (if your device has one) but this only works if the chat window is not opened.

Further to my comments above. During the race if one uses the power (battery icon) this will start decreasing. Can I increase it again during the race, as I noticed that certain teams with 4 laps to go still have their energy about 80% charching. Thanks.

No even though the whole point of kers back when it was still in use was that it could be recharged this game decided to go in a totally different direction lol
