I was in 3 separate bids today and am trying to figure out if there is a bug or I am missing something.
1st bid / Knock out
I was the last bidder (highest) in the initial round, no bids were made, the other guy won.
2nd bid/ knock out
i was the last bidder (highest) in the initial round, and it prompted me to bid, so i did because i figured i did something wrong the last time. i bid 4 tokens to win. but the other guy didn't bid at all.
3rd bid/ knock out
I was the second bidder of 3 in the initial round, the buttons to bid tokens were never highlighted for me to bid. i lost.
Am i doing something wrong, or is there a bug. I have lost 5 tokes at least trying to figure this out.

I put in a complaint on the bidding myself and have therefore stopped using it. Can't say that I lost to folks who never bid.
As I interpret my findings, the bidding is essentially last man standing with tokens. You should bid only once per round with like 7 seconds remaining to make sure it's recorded properly. Again, only once per round. the knockout round with only one bidder "should" be the winner. Yet again, that is based on my interpretation of my experience which I admittedly stopped using it because of my aforementioned complaints. Best to log in randomly to try and find the staff/driver you want and outright buy them.

I tried bidding yesterday. Got through to the initial round. In knockout round 1, I was waiting for the last few seconds to make my bid, but suddenly with 20 seconds to spare it showed that I lost the bid and it should be noted that no one else had made the bid in ko 1.
This bidding process is a lot confusing for newbies, and I suggest proper guidelines should be given.

Try reading section 3.4 of the help ( the "?" button at bottom of drop down menu)and then tell us how it can be improved.
Also note that the servers are under higher load and there is some lag. The note about bidding 7 sec before end generally works, a round ending while showing 20 sec is pretty severe though...

I made a post about how it should be improved - with no results. Additionally, it should not be called an auction because it's not run at all like a real auction. It's simply place a bid.. don't worry about the amount or the time.. just get your 1 bid in.. and don't wait for the last few seconds..that only works in real auctions.. now you're eligible for the next round. Last one standing doing that (meaning whomever has the most tokens) wins. That's how it works. It's not a real auction.

Initial bid round is to get into the knockout round, it doesnt matter is you are 1,2 or 3.
In the Knockout round you have to bid again to register a bid, if nobody bids in the knockout round, nobody wins. The driver or staff member is released back into the open market. It's not very complicated but it works.

I think there's a lot of knockout rounds going on at the lower levels, but I believe the next issue is that people don't know there is a knockout round afterwards, let alone remembering to even participate in the knockout round.
Folks make a bid, leave, come back hours later confused...much like when you take a nap in the middle of the day and don't know what time it is.
