So the perfect set up (according to the drivers) isn't the quickest set up for me in practice. If I change the levels slightly away from the perfect ones my drivers go faster! Should I use the fastest practice set up or the ones the drivers say is perfect (perhaps this is quicker in the race?)?

The setup the driver wants may not be the fastest but it will be the most consistent for the full stint where as the one you found slightly faster, the lap times may go up and down like a yoyo.

The "fastest" may be fast for a few laps over the perfect/ideal setup, but there is a reason it is ideal; it should be faster over a whole stint

Five minutes James. That's the difference between a lvl 20 and a lvl 14
