Guys..I am relatively new to this game ..I was winning all the initial races about 5 out of 6..But now I find it difficult even to reach in top ten...Can anyone help me to understand why and how to counter it?

1º- You need Racers with more stars. (And trainning all the time)
2º- JD for update your car after the race.
3º- Update you building.

With this 3, you can start good. But ofcourse, all the race you need to do tactic and try to do the best of you.

In order of priority:
1. Car design and wear - Can't be competitive without a decent car. Fernando Alonso is a 2-time champion in a championship challenging Renault, but a backmarker in the McHonda of today. If you want the best performance for your car's design, make sure your engine is brand new too as a more worn engine is slower. Especially important in higher tiers.

=1. Strategy and tactics - Against less experienced managers strategy can help you bridge massive car design & driver deficits to make you win races. In competitive tiers and leagues it still makes a significant difference with the top teams being so close to each other. You can look around studying strategies of managers from other leagues. In-race tactics, such as how you use boost and DRS, how you manage push levels (Push hard enough, but not too hard or you'll burn your tyres and fuel), and how you react to what's going on around you, are also important especially in close competition.

3. Drivers - Talent is king. The difference between a 10 talent and 1 talent driver can be a fair bit more than half a second a lap. 20 talent even more so. If they're separated by 15 seconds at the end of a race, it can mean the difference between 1st and 5th, for example. Higher talent drivers also tend to qualify better. Also make sure your drivers are close to 100% health before they are scheduled to race, or they may not be at peak performance. Remember to regularly train your drivers.

4. Boost and DRS - Higher technology levels give you much better DRS and boost performance. The difference between one level of DRS can be at least one or two tenths depending on the track. So if your technology level is 5 levels higher than an opponent's, you can potentially gain between half to one second a lap on the DRS straight alone. Very important in higher tiers if you want to keep up with the top teams, but can also give you a big boost in lower tiers.

5. Staff - Most important is the chief designer who will design your car. Find one with the best strength for you, and the weakness which will affect you the least. Technical director is important for research, which may help close the design points gap as the season progresses. Doctor helps if you want to train your drivers faster.

Hence, save up your tokens and money for car design facility to have more design points, manufacturing for enough parts to repair your cars, and technology for boost and DRS. Those 3 are the most important buildings. Do not waste too much money and tokens on drivers and staff you don't need. For drivers, very young ones with the highest talent but lower salary as they are lower leveled are the best bet for the long term. Drivers are expensive, so do not waste too much money on them. As for staff, at lower levels you will level up very fast, which means try not to waste too much tokens on staff that will quickly become less effective as you level up. But good staff is still important.

Looking at the German GP, which is probably why you came here.

You are new to the game, rookie is a time to learn. You went out on supersofts and I'm guessing by your top speed, you either had worn parts or you were overheating the tires. You then switched to a different compound that may have suited your push level. Which leads to the question, are you managing your tires? Are you trying different compound strategies? Now is the time to be figuring it out, because it is a learning process for you right now.

Boomer provided you with a lot of good information. You should try to follow it

Thanks azazelt, boomer kid and greg....That is a lot to learn...And Greg ya the German GP dampened my spirit..I used a SS initially as I thought the colder temperatures will not help the harder compounds to get the optimum temps..but inspite of that my lap times were worse in the initial stint...The mediums seem to work almost everywhere.even in cooler temperatures..That actually confuses me..As a vivid follower of F1 I had a good understanding of tyres and how they work with temperatures...But this game doesn't go by the general norms.
