Under closer inspection we need to lower the top speed of the iGP cars lol

2011 F1 with DRS
Australia 1:28.947
Malaysia 1:40.571
China 1:38.993
Turkey 1:29.703
Spain 1:26.727
Monaco 1:16.234
Europe 1:41.852
Great Britain 1:34.908
Germany 1:34.302
Hungary 1:23.415
Belgium 1:49.883
Italy 1:26.187
Singapore 1:48.454
Japan 1:36.568
Abu Dhabi 1:42.612
Brazil 1:15.324

2009 F1 without DRS
Australia 1:27.706
Malaysia 1:36.641
China 1:52.592
Bahrain 1:34.556
Spain 1:22.762
Monaco 1:15.154
Turkey 1:27.579
Great Britain 1:20.735
Germany 1:33.365
Hungary 1:21.931
Europe 1:38.683
Belgium 1:47.263
Italy 1:24.739
Singapore 1:48.240
Japan 1:32.569
Brazil 1:13.733
Abu Dhabi 1:40.279

We should be slower than F1, but on most tracks we are faster than F1 lmao

Yeah F1 nowadays are slower than us on most track.Heck, even active-manager cars are faster than the F1 2009 british lap time.Except Monaco, somehow Jack made iGP cars go around Monaco with a time that is 2 sec slower than last year GP2 pole lap.*slow clap *slowclap

Who really cares though? Its a single seater sim based loosely on the idea's of F1. At the end of the day, its a game that promotes fun and enjoyment. I know I dont play it to match F1 lap times etc.

We lap 2s a lap slower of Monaco, with much less fuel as we refuel etc. If iGP was a full F1 sim we wouldnt re-fuel and do like 3 stint 100% races and be bored out of our minds.

We'd also have only 17 (or 20) races per year and have to participate in 3,4-day long race weekends :P

Monaco not far of the same as 2009, 2009 was refueling and KERS, 2011 was slower because no refueling but had it had DRS and KERS

What is wrong with 350kph and 218mph??

is not realistic, not all cars in the F1 has te same top speed.
and quit this limitation maybe the desing of cars are more real
why 1 car with 50 acceleration and 100 downforce 100 handling has the same topspeed like one whit 100 acceleration 50 DF 50HDL?

if your setup car has more o less drag and your design point was putted in different areas why all have the same top speed?

this only make trains with drs in all races, all the wars with the same setup

But it is average top speed of 350/217.48. In the race it's self the actual top speed is lower

In Hungary
My car 123.49mph
winners 125.04mph
Both have an average of 217.48mph

There's no such thing as an average top speed (Well, there is, you could calculate an average of all single lap topspeeds for yourself if you want but it's not in the game). It's top speed, the highest speed reached usually at the end of the longest straight, and average speed which is practically the constant speed you'd have to go to cover the distance of a lap or race in the given lap/race time. If your average is higher than your top speed then your game statistics data is quite bugged. :-)

@N: That's actually possible. A car with more power (Acceleration) and a car that manages the same levels, or more, of downforce with less drag due to better aerodynamics (Downforce) can end up with the same top speed. The difference in actual downforce produced which could tip the scale is a setup question, but that is more or less the same for everyone at any given track because almost everyone uses the ideal setup given by the game anyway.

Why there is a top speed limit in the game I don't know. On some tracks it's just limiting the effect of better Technology building level in DRS and use of KERS on long straights against high stat cars. Generally it makes use of KERS and DRS at the same time more or less futile. I don't see why those things have to be capped, after all the car design is already hard capped anyway.

Need a car with 1's & 2's. No setup & not to turn up to the race to equal 2009 F1
