Hi

I recently changed leagues after the last race of my old one and before the first race of the new one.

The fact is that all my design points were reseted. I had a Chief Designer Talent 3, Exp. 11, Morale 3, since 13 races ago.

Now I'm in the new league with a "pro" stats, but with a terrible car compared to the others.

Is it normal? Is there anything I can do about it?

Hi Marcelo. I had a similar experience in April and had a a bit of a moan about it but as far as I know nothing has changed. So no, there is nothing you can do except be a bit clever with spying in an effort to grab a few points towards the end of the season to avoid relegation to Rookie. Best to write this season off and look forward to the following season when you should once again be on level terms with your competitors (always assuming you have a good CD)

If you join a league for the start you get 6 design points, if you join in time for the second race you get 12 points. I guess you get six points for every race missed.

I too started a new league & was there for the start, slowly catching up. Round 6 tomorrow.

Hahaha I read your story... I am complaining about losing some design points after 1 season, and you were already one of the best players of the game when you passed through it... I would get crazy if I were you!

Thank you for the help

so even been behind in every design points, you are focusing in just some specific points (just acceleration now) instead of researching everything together?

Is it a better strategy? How do you set your priorities in this situation?

You have to think of a couple races ahead ;)

Two factors to take into account:
1. The bigger the difference between your DP and that of the competition means you get more spying points.
2. You don't HAVE to immediately apply the dp that are generated by your design facility every race, you can bank them and apply later in the season. (But you can't carry them over to the next season).

I've just had the same thing happen to me, accidentally switched to wrong league but my design points stayed as they were, then switched to the league I originally meant to join and design points back to 1. How am I supposed to win anything? I'm in elite tier....

Starting with wee low numbers is not a bad thing, it gives you a full season to see what you are up against in the league & working on one area at a time brings in big gains if you have 5 star Research.

Marcelo Level 5 you will have super gains in Research
Ben Level 7 you will have excellent gains in Research

A level 20 player starting with 1's has a harder time because max Research they have is 40% in one area. But most likely they would have 20 points a race to make up the ground spending them all in one area each race.
