Suggesting if it could be possible that the league manager is able to relegate/promote managers with their agreement.

All suggestions in this vein seem to be targeted at grouping friends together, which isn't what the league system was built for exactly. It is intended to be a measure of skill.

A friendly races system is on the way but unfortunately for anyone stuck in a different league/tier to a friend, it's a few months down the line. However an option to reset your team (create a new one and start a "new" career with them) will be coming sooner. If people are only playing to race friends and have no care for stats then they could all agree to reset teams, go back to Rookie and have the host disable promotion/relegation.

Not sure I like that idea Marius.  Might be open to abuse, but I do see the value in 'friendly' races.
I would second Jacks suggestion as a way round friends wanting to stay together.

The problem here is that (I think) the promotion button is set to on when you start a league (default setup?).

In the league that I'm in at the moment, we've had 2 races each week, so 2 months down the road we finally finished a season. But what happened? The total league has been split up in 2 groups now. Making this less interesting to play, because a full grid has been split into 2 small grids.

Starting over is not an option. Many have build up a nice team or have been working on a developed car for season 2. Also a 'relationship' has been set up with drivers or staff members. That would be a waste to give up.

We are a group of guys from one and the same forum. We have a nice full grid together with about 15 teams. We have no intention to start over because it was fun the way it worked. I can understand that the league system has been set up to make it a measure of skill, but I'm pretty sure we aren't the only league out there to drive for fun.

I'm in exactly the same situation, except we have a few more teams in our league. We disabled the promotion at the end of the first season expressly to keep everyone together. Only a few people might remember who won the first season and the racing is done for bragging rights in chat - after the race it's forgotten until the next session. I would estimate at least a third of the managers are paid-up members as well.

Please don't force us to break up our leagues. (this is my first post ever in the forums, I've never felt a need to post before)

Hi Frank. I just took a look at your league and with the current settings you will all remain in Rookie as long as promotion and relegation is disabled. The new update doesn't activate it or override this setting, it just stops it from operating on league tiers that are less than half full.

There were many requests regarding manual relegation, so i was strictly relating to this issue.

Sounds good, Jack. I'm in the same league as Frank and (frankly) would stop playing if we were to be split up. So that's good news :)

Thanks for the quick and direct reply! It seems I misunderstood the first posts as meaning something like 'a future update will force promotes', so I apologize for the knee-jerk reaction. This is a great game and lots of fun during and between races :)

And how does this option work if there is already a Rookie and Pro group? Will the Pro group be rookie agian after S2? Or will we stay in the Rookie/Pro/Elite group as we where in S2 and still be divided for S3?

They remain in the tier they are in, promotion and relegation is disabled if you turn it off.

There will be more ways in future to connect with friends. I feel the responsibility this time is on the user hosting the league, to ensure they put the right settings on when they start it up. There are plenty of clues that promotion and relegation are active, such as the highlighting on the league standings and the Rules & Regulations.

The part that sucks is that the lotus championship has promotion and relegation disabled as far as i know. and i'm a tier above them and both our seasons end on friday. O to be a rookie again...
