Qualifying sets objectives for race?

Hi,

I read in an old post on here that the objectives for the race are on the home screen after qualifying. If that is the case then does your qualifying position influence the race objectives? If so would qualifying on the hard tyre (best race tyre imo) therefore give a more achievable objective due to lower starting position?

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Your previous race finish determines the race objective.
