League search.

The league search function on this game is horrendous. Sort it out please.

This is not how suggestions are supposed to work.

Please describe what is happening that is wrong and/or how you'd like to see it work.

Will pitch in my few cents:

1) A lot of very important filters are missing, such as:
i) Race distance
ii) Race speed
iii) Average reputation
iv) Activity rate, probably. Maybe something like "Host last active: x hours/minutes/seconds ago"
And so on

2) It only shows 6 leagues at a time, which is arguably way too little for some. Compounded with the lack of good filters, it makes for a very chaotic search, and a lot of leagues that could be active but desperately lack people may not be highlighted by the search function.

3) The league search automatically omits leagues which are full. While this may be convenient to some, a select number of leagues which are usually full are the top leagues in this game, with the best managers and the best activity rates

I agree with everything Boomer said. to add to it;

If you filter by certain days and times, it only lists one car leagues, however there is no info on the search results screen to let you know that they are 1 car leagues.

Showing the full leagues as well allows you to find a league with managers you want to race against, and allows you to start a dialogue about joining the league. maybe they have a few inactive teams that they could kick to allow you to join.

To add to my reply above, I have chosen 2 car only for the search filter, but still get 1 car league results.

Boomer summed it up brilliantly. Its a function of the game that is very very poor for a app this day n age.

Hi all, I'd like to add my opinion to this thread. I believe the league search can be greatly improved. Currently, only six leagues appear in the search results (interestingly for me, at Elite level, mine is in the six), which makes it very hard to find open leagues that fit a manager's preferences, even though there are many that would. I think a revamp will benefit active leagues by helping mangers find leagues with open positions, and prevent some new leagues from being created when there are viable leagues already existing, but are currently hard to find.

Here's what I would like to see:
1) All leagues (or all relevant to filters) appearing in the results, sorted by 25, 30, or 50 per page.
2) Search results displaying the following information in a large, table-like format (am using my own league as data):
-League name (American Open Wheel Series)
-Weekly schedule (S, M, Tu, W, Th)
-Time of races (18:00, my time zone display of course)
-Distance (50%)
-Race speed (2x)
-1 car or 2 cars (2)
-Number of managers in Rookie (16/16)
-Number of managers in Pro (16/16)
-Number of managers in Elite (7/16)
-Language (English)
-Password (No)
3) Can sort league results by each column. Default would be to sort by the Number of Managers of the manager's level, that are not full (15/16, then 14/16, etc.)
-It may be hard to sort by a specific schedule, so when sorting (if no filter is applied), perhaps could show all leagues that race 7 days per week, then 6, then 5, then 4, and so on (opposite order when sorted again).
-It may be hard to sort by a specific time, so when sorting (if no filter is applied), have times be from 0:00 to 21:00 (don't recall if races can start at intervals less than 1 hour), and opposite order when sorted again).
-In both cases, if a filter is applied, then show league results based on the proximity to preferred choice. (all leagues that match time, all leagues that start 1 hour different, then 2 hours, 3 hrs, etc.)
4) The filter would have a role of lesser importantance, as sorting results would allow managers to already find leagues based on their preferences. I think it could be renamed as "Advanced Search" with the following options/filters, similar to current:
-Search league name
-Option to include full leagues in results
-Preferred time (i.e. 18:00)
-Preferred number of races per week (in range of 1-7)
-Number of cars (1 or 2)
-Remove password protected leagues
-Remove leagues with foreign languages
5) A notification at the top of the page, above the search results, indicating which level you currently are (for me: "You are in the Elite tier")

A couple of options I did not include for point #2:
-Race length (23m). The current league search shows how many minutes each race will last. This would not be necessary because race length and race speed are already shown
-Manager name (Chris Albrecht) or Manager last active (15min). Manager active is not important due to auto-kick, imo. And when visiting league page, this information is available already.
-Average manager reputation. Although nice, the only way I see it being useful is if three separate columns were added, with manager reputation added next to each tier. Or, only Elite manager reputation was added. But I don't know the best way for this to appear in the search results, so I didn't include it.

I think this would make a huge impact, even if just points 1-3 were incorporated. Hopefully this helps, I tried to be as detailed as possible.

League search really should be made usefull. Not like now.

The search for leagues is now simply missing.

In short, more filters (average reputation filter please).

Well, at least now what can be done easily...
Put there result of at least 20 leagues found, not only 6.
Please, this could be done really fast and easy.

Perhaps make international leagues be the default. Also, stop saying "Leagues with a foreign language". That might discourage usage of the feature.

A filter that is enabled by default isn't a filter!
