Hello everybody

I am a short time participant in the game, although this is not the first manager of races in which I participate. This is my first post in the forum, but I hope the developers will find it interesting enough to keep it in mind in upcoming game updates.

These are my suggestions:

1.- Make the setup more complicated. So far the pilots are giving clues about the optimal setup. The aleron setup may be at a point of optimum value, but the pilot will always tell you, the aleron setting is too low or too high. Ideally, this message should be merely orientative and that the final adjustment be made by the training times obtained. That is to say, if the setup is 2 or 3 points of its optimum value, the pilot should say that he is happy with the adjustment, and his final values will depend on the times obtained in the training sessions.

2.- The adjustments of the suspensions are too simple, they should be replaced by a numerical value like the ailerons. That is, instead of being able to choose between soft, neutral or hard, have to enter a value from 0 to 100.

3.- Enter one more element in the setup, which are the ratio settings of the gearbox. For this it would be essential to provide at least one torque and power graph of the motor, logically depending on the motors there would be different graphs.

Obviously if these changes are made, it would be essential to increase the number of training sessions, because with the current ones would be insufficient, since the setup is complicated much more.Instead of a number of sessions, you could implement a time limit for example.

4.- As for the information that the game provides of past races, I find it insufficient. It would be necessary to be able to consult past races, times, etc ... and the setups with which participated.

Thanks for all, greetings
Oscar

Hey there!

Regarding suggestions 1 and 2, wouldn't that be some kind of repellent for those with little to no knowledge about F1? Or maybe it could be an option instead for advanced players while keeping rookie players satisfied with current ways to setup their cars?

Suggestion 3 to be honest is one of the important things should be in the game, but still we need to keep it foolproof for beginners.

BTW I'm still (not so) new to this game, started playing 2 months ago. Cheers!

Hello again

This is a manager, if there is someone new in configurations, or people find these suggestions too complicated, honestly, they should opt for another type of manager, something more arcade type.

What can not be, is that unless the player is very very clumsy, you will find the optimal setup without too much effort. I have not had a month in the game, and in today's race, to me, with 3 tests of the first pilot I found the optimal setup. Not that I consider myself very good, much less, I think it's too easy. At the end, the difficulty lies in finding the best career strategy. And it is not very complicated to find, because for example the fuel is selected by turns, avoiding that you have to calculate the expense per lap etc ... should be selected by volume, ie by liters or gallons.

greetings
Oscar

I've mentioned before on this forum how the old iGP had much more management elements, from setups, to contracts with sponsors & suppliers, and staff allocation. Past data was also much easier to access in the old iGP.

While the main pull of iGP has always been the multiplayer live race management, I also strongly feel the other management aspects should not be neglected. It's not so much to make the game more "realistic" or difficult, but to give the players a more fun and immersive experience playing as a manager.

All excellent suggestions Oscar, you would have enjoyed old iGP (up until August 2016) because it was far more complex and the standard game had many of the improvements you suggest for this version. Personally I think the old game gave much more variety and required more management in a number of areas to be successful.
But it wasn't all good, this version is better in some aspects. One maor drawback in old iGP was in the area of component development which resulted in many managers opting to have on/off seasons. In one season they would compete for the championship and then the next season would be fighting to avoid relegation.
The other drawback (for some) in the old game was that you had to subscribe UK £19.99 per year to use the 2D race viewer which is now free for everyone. This meant that to successfully compete with the top managers you really needed to subscribe whereas in this version if you play carefully it is possible to be successful without spending real money.

Yeah the "2 championships in 1 league" was one of the main drawbacks of the old iGP. It's why we have design points resetting whenever you switch leagues now, which unfortunately hurts people who want to switch leagues with no ulterior motives too.

Managing finances is also a challenge now, which wasn't before. I think if some of the previous management aspects were brought over to the new iGP, and fine-tuned, we could have something decent from both worlds.

All excellent suggestions Oscar, you would have enjoyed old iGP (up until August 2016) because ....

Hello Kevin...
I played the old version of the IGP, but it did not stop hooking me up, maybe because I played another manager, already gone, Top Racers, maybe one of you know him. For me without a doubt the best manager I have ever played.

I do not pretend that this game will be a Top Racers version, but if you can take aspects of it very good, like the ones I have commented. IGP has very good aspects, it did not have Top Racers, for example the weather, how well races work, tire management, etc. aspects missing in Top Racers.

Top racers, it was also subscription if you wanted to enjoy 2D and other features, but had a much more affordable cost. Paying 19 pounds, I find it a bit expensive, maybe if it had been a more affordable price, people would have subscribed more.

Anyway what ended with the Top Racers game, was the abandonment of the developers, the null updates even to correct errors and the few times they updated to correct something, they broke the game even more than it was.

Hats off to the clown that has made the race strategy push settings change from

Very low
Low
Neutral
High
Very high

to

Very high
High
Neutral
Low
Very low

I couldn't have thought of a more crucial thing to change.

Also I suggest to add the poosibility to choose the quantity of fuel for every lap in free tests

Here are my suggestions:
1. Introduce the Ultra Soft Compound for a higher variety of team strategies in an iGP.
2. Have the host decide a newer design for the cars every season. (Your development points aren't gone. They simply would be reset for the newer regulations that the host has set up)
3. To make our situation more realistic, let us have collisions and car crashes every now and then but not too often that no car has finished the race.
4. Give us more freedom in deciding the livery of our cars and instead, we pay for a different livery design with cash and not tokens so that newer players could have the early freedom to decide on how their car would appear.
5. GIve us a 3D view as well and not limited to the 2D view. With players having the option to switch between the two.
6. Give players joining a new league all the points that the other teams have collected over the previous seasons so that the newer teams can be competitive from the start. However, to make this not a big complaint, instead of the team receiving n amount of points depending on the level of their design facility in their HQ, have them receive one bonus point for every race that has occurred previously before the new team joined.
7. Please let us have more sponsors
8. And let us have a variation of Grand Prix every year so that it would follow the current F1 calendar.

There is probably more I could add but I can't think of some. Give your opinions about my suggestions.
