From the next update (livery editor update) we will be discontinuing support for Android versions 4.3.1 and lower. We will continue to support Android 4.4 and up.

Android versions 4.3.1 and below are not well supported generally throughout the iGP GUI. The reason is that Android 4.4+ uses the Chromium (Chrome) engine to render stuff, whereas 4.3.1 and lower use an old, unsupported, deprecated webview which is no longer maintained by Google. In fact, Google no longer provide support for the entire OS below version 4.4, so by making this call we are only bringing our support structure in line with that of Google. Devices on 4.3.1 and lower also tend to have much lower hardware specifications which have had some difficulty running elements like the race viewer in some cases.

One of the main reasons we provided support for versions below 4.4 was because I had a Samsung S3 at the time, so was able to develop for that. But there comes a time where you have to cut your losses, and given that it is a tiny fraction of the overall audience, this is one of those cases. 98% of the playerbase are on 4.4+ and it will only become an ever-increasing burden to support lower versions technically, with an ever decreasing audience.

If you are on 4.3.1 or lower and already have the app installed, I believe you will be able to continue to play, and it may be possible that if you can get the APK for later releases of iGP Manager you will be able to install it on your phone. However, we will not guarantee support for these versions from the next update (the livery editor update). For the best support on the management screens I would recommend users of 4.3.1 and lower to install Chrome. That won't be able to view the races, but it will provide a fully-functioning management GUI. The app would still be the best way to view the races, if your device can handle it.

Will future updates ( after this one) still support Android 5.1?

Yes, they will. Support is only being dropped for anything Jelly Bean or older.

Yes. I've updated the opening sentence of my post to make things a bit clearer.
