Race 22333, my driver Jim Papadopolous, while leading, did not pit despite the green "Pitting" light being shown. This may be because the light came on, I turned it off, then thought better of it and turned it back on again - but all this happened a long way before the pit entrance, it's not as if I turned it back on before he dove in (or rather didn't).

He therefore ran out of fuel and retired - this will certainly cost me 4th in the championship, and probably change the winner as well since the race has now been gifted to guy who was running second at the time (who was 20 points back and closing fast in the standings).

I'm sorry about this, but you did turn it back on a bit too late.  On the Brazil track in particular the cars switch to a different racing line a fair bit before the actual pit lane entrance and if they miss this then they cannot jump across any later.  I'll aim to get this sorted for the Q1 update.

I turned it back on well before the driver got to the bottom of the hill, with at least 10 seconds to spare, probably more. That's the sort of thing that really needs signposting - it'd be good to mark on each map where the driver changes his line to go into the pits.(Of course, there may have been a transmission delay.)

Is'nt it the managers job to find the spot where the driver changes the line.

True. Maybe the driver wasn't focused or calm enough or his health was below 25% and can't hear that good because of a flu.
Or his anticipation is so low, that he thought pit meant to pit sometimes, not now.

Most likely, as the driver is obviously from greece, he didn't have the money for new tires and protested against pitting in general.
