Hi all, so a couple of changes were made recently that flew under the radar.

The first is auto-kick is only applicable to the Rookie tier. Nothing else has changed, not even the number of days to be considered inactive (28 days). Pro and Elite tiers can still have inactive players.

Second, any races with only one team participating in a race is a race that will be automatically skipped.

Hi,
While I believe auto-kick is a good Idea, I dislike the second change made. I understand the reason of trying to have full, competitive league. However, I believe the game should be welcoming towards anyone and give the chance to anybody to compete according their pace.

Nowadays most of the leagues are pushing for hardcore active players, with some leagues kicking you out as "inactive" only because you have skipped the setup one day. This rythm does not suit anyone and it might be difficult to always communicate when one is inactive (especially if the inactivity has not been made on purpose, but it is the results of an event).
Previously, one could have set up its own league, and competing there according to his/her own pace. Maybe someone else would have joined the league and this would have lead it to become more competitive, but it would have also been possible to keep on with the race even with only one team and using the league as to make experiment without having to worry about the result at any cost.

With the new skipping race rule, this is not possible anymore and people are forced (if they are not lucky enough to have a sufficient amount of people competing in their league) to join other league (which might not suit them) or stopping to play. Indeed, I believe this change might push some people to abandon the game: newborn league made by one team might not attract more team as people might fear to find themselves in league were the races are skipped. Also, players who need to build up confidence and experimenting, will not have anymore a place to do so...

Hi Yunus,
thanks for your explanation on the recent changes.

Based on this, yesterday I decided to leave my league and change to another since I was the only remaining active player in my league (the two other are inactive more than 3 weeks / 9 races).
However, I was fined 2.5 million dollar. This is somehow unacceptable - being punished because I want to have a competition...

Can you give me the money back?

Best wishes, Martin

Hi, the cash fine isn't supposed to be there anymore. I can have Jack give you your money back, it may be a while before it is returned to you.

In my opinion...
All players (even pro and elite) must be kicked off after 30days of inactivities.
All Leages with only one team or without team for 30 days have to be deleted.
The game is full of empty championship

Well, for the players, in my opinion is ok as it is at the moment. If someone has managed to get to the pro or elite ranking it means that he/she has been a fairly active racers and deserves a little more of credit (stuff might happen in life and not everyone might feel comfortable with telling this to people that they do not even know). In any case if someone is inactive over a long period he/she will end up being relegated and, once in the rookie tier, will be kicked out anyway. Also, the creator of the league can kick out anyone at any time, if this gets a problem.

As for the league, this is already happening, but has to be said that the reason of having empty championships is that the current rules, in my opinion, push people to gather to the few populated championships available, rather than to spread out and fill in the empty leagues.
Also, those empty leagues in the past were useful to people for making experiments, getting more confidence about the game or simply finding temporarily a quieter and more relaxed environment where one could compete without having to be active every day. Then, when one feels more comfortable, he/she could have been joining other leagues or, as happened to me in the past, little by little someone might have joined the league and filled in again the championship.

In Jack's forum post when he proposed this idea, he also mentioned the possibility of expanding the promotion/relegation zones. Is that still under consideration? I did think 4 was too large, but was hopeful that 3 would be under consideration, instead of the current 2 that are promoted/relegated. According to Jack's proposal this would move inactive managers down to Rookie and then be removed due to auto-kick, which I thought worked well with the idea to auto-kick in Rookie only. Though, honestly, I would like this just to get more managers up to Elite tier faster, in leagues where it is not currently full.

I think the intention is still to change the promotion/relegation zone to 3 for 2-car leagues and 6 to 1-car leagues.

Don't know about changing the teams promoted/relegated especially when you see how active some of the top leagues are. I believe if hosts were to be able to customize this it would better suit all kinds of leagues though.

That's nice but I think there is still a flaw in car design.
Teams moving up a tier, start the season with the lower tier car design & the teams moving down, start the season with higher tier car designs. It's a little back to front.

Good ideas but first of all. It is nearly impossible to find a league that suits you in every corner of the game. There should be a lot more option in finding leagues!

The current league system is designed exclusively for the competition of small groups of people closed on themselves. This is a dead end. The league in the game must be single, divided into several classes, as it is arranged in real life and in many other sports managers.

I agree with you.

I believe that you should create an unique league with several divisions and best players play for the best divisions etc.

This would be more funny and inactive players will be relegated in lower divisions.

For example :
1) One main league F1 --> Best players (elite)
2) 2 divisions 1.1 and 1.2
3) 4 divisions 2.1 2.2 2.3 and 2.4
4) 8 divisions 3.1, 3.2 etc and so on

This for the OFFICIAL championship with fixed days and time for races.

You should give the opportunity to create private leagues like today only to give more flexibility to players or only to have fun with friends etc.

That's great BUT
what about players who play 3 or fewer times a week?
What of those that can only play on weekdays?
What about players who are on the other side of the world and the chosen time is 2am for them?

The OFFICIAL championship should include only 1 race per week like in real life (or maybe 2).
Race time depends on the track (like in real life) that's why this would be REAL MODE.

For example Austrian Grand Prix at 4 a.m. (GTM+0) and Brazilian Grand Prix at 8 p.m. (GTM+0). In this way no one will take an advantage for the championship.

I know that's more difficult but it's possible to think about national championships where the time depends on the country. At the end of a season we can organise international finals between winners of each country.
