Watching F1 qualifying there this morning got me thinking about different widths of tracks. All our tracks look pretty much equal.
Could the amount of zoom be limited to create a sense of a tight twisty track?

It could be done by making the car images smaller on some tracks, but that would do away with the cars detail and we don't want that.
Another option would be to rebuild a whole new wider track. but that's very time consuming and the illusion and sense of feel could be created with less zooming in.

Monaco

Malaysia

Monaco default zoom

Monaco less zoom

It's not a massive difference altering the amount of zoom. but I think gives you the idea of what I'm talking about, maybe even slightly less zoom than in my snippet would make Monaco look a little tighter.

Don't think too much, the car graph is not to scale, nothing else.

Track gets wider and wider the more you zoom in the car size never changes

I'd think cars not 'driving over the top of each other' when they overtake was more important than this.. I'm getting used to it, but it still irk's me that the cars just drive over the top of the one in front for an overtake.

Also, would love to see cars disappear under bridges, instead of the cars driving over the top of each other at right angles (bridge in Japan anyone?).

It's already on their hit list.
Advert boards and walkway bridges in a few tracks, the supporters stand and roads above in Singapore, tunnel in Monaco, the pit exit in Dhabi.
The main issue is it will use a little more memory adding extra layers in the race viewer. They have to experiment with adding a few extra small layers instead of one big giant one and see how it goes.
